i am creating a disc golf company and would like to know to what limits the pdga logo could be used. there will be changes to the picture. i am only inquiring as to prevent some type of infringement cases. this will be done respectfully to the pdga and will act as a company name for a couple of guys who sell discs out of the trunks of their cars, and push for growth and development of the sport in brunswick county north carolina.

The more appropriate avenue for this question is to contact the PDGA office directly.

You'll find red, white and blue logos of people playing their sport throughout sports [assuming that is still the PDGA color format -- I'm colorblind] so the PDGA does not have a property interest in that general concept. If I were your lawyer, I'd suggest you use an entirely different thrower throwing in a different direction and in a distinctively different pose. If there is a basket in the picture, don't use the same basket the PDGA used.
And I'm not your lawyer.

Or you could be totally creative and make up your own logo, rather than trying to confuse people that might think the PDGA has endorsed or is somehow connected with your company/product.
