The HOTT Final is just around the corner and we've run into a snag.

Due to circumstances beyond anyone's control, we will not be using OSP in Round Rock.

There are 3 alternate options, and we've decided to leave it up to the players. We want to know where you'd rather play the Final.

Alright... Moody's would be cool if we change the holes and add baskets to make 2 18 hole courses. Is that even possible?

2 courses out there would be easy. The problem would be needing 8 spotters. Ranch golf is hard & people lose many discs.

Wilco is out....they want a % of payout & sales....had to talk them out of charging us 10% of payout last year. The Final payout is huge. What they ask for is outrageous.

AND what they want us to pay doesn't even include being able to use the pavilion or electricity.

don't get me wrong. they do a great job & always work with us, but there's more paperwork & approving to be done than any other location.

Not saying they would be running your event, but last event I played there they didn't know what they were doing. They would just need to leave and return after awards.

How does one get 2 18 hole courses at Moodys?

I am getting the 2 - 18 hole course layouts ready just in case. So far, it looks good on paper and beautiful in person.

Either way, we loved having everyone out for Oktoberfest and thanks to Team Justice disc golf for making it all happen.

Cool....there would be some shorter, more fun holes with good views, also a few more interior woods holes with shade and no long grass. It will be interesting to see how the vote goes. Either way, I now have a new mission....two 18 hole layouts to run around on, literally.

Just to throw this in.. Temple will have the lions full course ready all 21 holes.. pending no massive rain. We are also working to get some good deals on hotel rates.

Then Temple, then TP.

Anyone who complains about burrs and tall grass at moody's doesn't appreciate ranch golf. People have to realize that Moody's Ranch is a unique course and we are lucky to have the privacy and luxury that it provides.

We should do Twin Parks, two courses, larger field of people can be accommodated. Been to long since they've held a tourney out there.

Twin Parks has camping, as well all holes except for hole #3 on the Hill have concrete tee-pads for all three tee-pad locations (red/white/blue).

So is Moody's official??!?!? That was our vote missed Octoberfest so very excited about playing the final on Halloween weekend perfect place for spooky cooky nights at MOODY'S!!!! :)

If we go with Moody's, the WTF fundraiser will be the only way to practice the new holes before the final....and we will be sponsoring the WTF event either way

What is the possibility of rescheduling the WTF Fundraiser if we do in fact play the HOTT Final at Moody's?

3 trips to Moody's in one month may be too much on some folks, especially two weekends in a row at the end of the month.

I love the Moody's we normally play, as it is certainly better than the alternatives on the list, but once two courses are crammed in, I might feel different.

I knew we would need to call the Wambulance regardless of where we ended up.....it's impossible to make everyone happy. However I think most of us have made the best of a less than ideal situation....and the players have spoken.

Headed to Moody's tomorrow after work to check out layouts & start prepping.
