Bud Select Corpus Christi Open B tier October 16th and 17th 2010
At least $500 added cash. L&F Distributors are gracious enough to provide plenty of beer for this one. Being that the event is in October the weather will be cool, I would say the nice word but lets not jinx it just yet. Lots of other great stuff on the horizon. We will clue you in as we gather our information.
We will be playing on one of the hardest courses in Texas, Ingleside's very own Live Oak Gold Course! We will also be playing the famed West Guth Blues'.
Sign up now because this event will fill up. My phone was ringing off the hook the last two weeks of The Gonzo Open so I would recommend getting in early this time, we hate to say no to someone. We will close registration three days before the event. you can register here: http://www.3rdcoastdiscgolf.com
Player Check in is from 7:00-8:00AM and Players Meeting around 8:30 AM
Entry:
All PRO divisions: $60
All ADVANCE divisions: $50
All INTERMEDIATE divisions: $40
All RECREATIONAL divisions: $30
All Junior divisions: $20
**Optional $5 Ace Pot not included**
THERE IS A PDGA NON-MEMBER FEE OF $10

Too Bad this runs the same weekend as Waterloo! Guess all the old folks will be having fun in Austin instead of BATTLING the Gold course. :D ;)
Drink a few beers for me! ;)

Format Info:
We will host two rounds in Ingleside on Saturday, one round on the Gold Course and one round on the Red Course. On Sunday we will meet at West Guth park in Corpus Christi and have one round of 21 holes.
We are working on a $500 Skins match on Sunday after the event for the 3 top pros and the top MA1.
As usual Bud is sponsoring this event so we will have some beer. More to come.

Sep 14 2010, 04:47 PM
My 2 cents dubs should be on gold.

Sep 15 2010, 12:47 PM
Dubs will be from 2-5pm on the Gold Course. I am not sure that we can beat the dark on the late tee so I will post an update closer to the event. Yours truly will be running the dubs event (the only round i can play) and will be on the last card to go out. 20 per Am team and 40 per open team.

when is time change?
billcart
Sep 16 2010, 11:48 AM
It's November 7th. The last card has to go out by 4:30 or they will finish in the dark! So basically there will be a flex start from 2-4:30 for dubs in Ingleside on the Gold Course.

The sun will set around 7PM on the 15th of October. The last cards will have to hustle.

Lost it in the river? Did you wade into the water with your phone in your pocket? I thought I was the only DA that did that?
Bill, is the e-mail address on y'alls site working? I tried to e-mail yesterday. Got kicked back.

Skins match is on....
Thanks to a few special sponsers, we have $500 for our traditional skins match.
Top three pro scores, top amateur score and the fifth spot will be raffle entry... Safari holes at west guth, not necessarily long but tough, with a couple of shortys mixed in...Paid in cash at the hole at the time of winning a hole. Those of you who have witnessed the skins match know how awesome it is to watch...
We will be doing payout during the skins match for those of you who are not interested in being a part of the gallery and need to get home. We will be getting skins match started around 1 or 130 pm, so we should all be out of the park by 5pm.

The results are up: http://www.pdga.com/tournament-results?TournID=10964&year=2010&include_ratings=1#Open
We had a great weekend! This was one of the smoothest tournaments I have been to. I would like to thank everyone for coming out and playing. We could NOT do it with out ya'lls support. I would like to give a special thanks to Smitty, Rysaw, Shannon and Brett, The Tobster, and Statue (your program kicks angus!). Brett I hope you get well soon.
All the divisions had some great competitors in it and made for a great weekend. There were some awesome 1G plus rated rounds this weekend! Here is the 1G hit list: Jay, Vinnie (who shot all 1Gs - WOW), Rysaw, Valverde, Smokin Joe, and Rob Dawson. Great shooting.
We have an event to help support the ladies for Texas Women Championships. I will provide more details on that in another thread so look for it and come out to the one day event and support our ladies.
Until next time folks!
