This great tournament is less than one month away and is going to be a great PDGA A tier tournament. This tournament is in the St. Cloud, Minnesota area on August 28 & 29.

Thanks to all the great support that we have received I'm able to say that the Open Pro winner will receive at least $1000 and that the Advanced winner will walk away with a Mach5 Basket containing a custom tournament number plate from sponsor DGA.

All divisions will play 3 rounds of 18 and the top 4 pro finishers will play a Final 9 on Sunday afternoon. Rounds will be played at Riverside Park in St. Cloud, Hidden Lake in St. Augusta, and Millstream in St. Joseph .

For complete course listings, times, and tourney information visit our website at www.northstarthrowdown.com

Online registration is also available through the PDGA website.

There will be a great players pack for all am divisions as well as a little swag for the pro players as well.

We will also have CTP's for all divisions offered throughout the tournament from sponsors with more rolling in.

Hope to see many of you there, as we always have a great time!

It is true that we have decided to pull Hidden Lake from the courses being
played for the North Star Throwdown. For a couple of months we have had
concerns about this course not being ready and those concerns were reinforced after a visit there on Saturday. I'm sorry to those of you that wanted it included, but the city of St. Augusta has not even cut the grass out there this summer and has no plans to do any upkeep to the course in the near or far future. It's a great course that needs some love and just isn't getting it.

So, in turn all players will be playing two rounds at Millstream instead, which
is great since that is a fantastic course.
The new schedule is as follows and will be updated on the website soon.
Pro's on Saturday Rd 1 at Riverside, Rd 2 at Millstream
Pro's on Sunday Rd 3 at Millstream followed by Final 9 at Millstream
Am's on Saturday Rd 1 at Millstream, Rd 2 at Riverside
Am's on Sunday Rd 3 at Millstream
Based on the amount of players we will probably be doing tee time starts on
Sunday starting at 7:30 AM, however that may change if we have fewer than 100
players in which we will then shotgun start.
Since we are having two rounds at Millstream we will have two different layouts, so it's not all the same.

Again, sorry to those who wanted to play Hidden Lake, it's just not up to par
for this event.

Just over a week until the festivities begin. The last couple days have been great as multiple donations have showed up on the doorstep from vendors. Also picked up cases of water and pop from Viking Coke and Bernick's vending to have out on the courses during the rounds.
Got final word from Famous Dave's that they will be coming out to Riverside on Saturday and offering lunch. For $6 you get a BBQ chicken or pork sandwich and a bag of chips. They will only be able to take cash for this, so come prepared.
Can't wait until next week as we've got everything pretty close to ready!
