This is exciting for those of us who think college-level competition will be a great boost to disc golf.
Pete May's National Collegiate Championship is a great start, and this looks like a great next step. A big event on one of the sport's top courses, filling two more than two months in advance even though it's a first-time venture.
Hopefully we'll see more of this around the country, moving towards a time when colleges have standing teams, competing and building rivalries with other schools. Teams we can pull for or against, instead of just individuals at standard PDGA tournaments. Perhaps even getting a little press coverage.

Suggest all college teams become an "official" school club. Then they can qualify for travel expenses, etc.
