Please read the entire clause. It says these can be overruled by the TD for extreme circumstances say, like a hurricane.

the only thing that hurricane affected were gas prices and supply. Tourney was still smooth as silk and raised some extrra cheese for the relief. We actually had one player(Powell) from New Orleans so it was a nice escape for him. But yes we will refund if you are scared

You are right, those of us who would have had to travel through the hurricane leaving our families at home to ride the storm out were not affected at all.

I'm just pointing out the many reasons why TD's should read the ENTIRE clause.

anyways, this usually fills so get your registrations in. I will be adding cash to Pro Masters if more than 4 if no more than 4 I will add it to womens divisions. This isn't part of TD's added cash or I might just split it.

We plan to have another new hole, temporarily designated 11.3. It will be 360 feet, par 4, with an initally tight fairway requiring a right turn finish (170 to 200 feet), then slightly left fading approach as the putting area opens up. As with all new holes in the woods, it will be tight this year and open up as it gets played.
We also plan to renumber the holes 1-22 so everyone will have to get use to emptying their bag shooting across the kudzu valley on hole 22 (currently # 18).

Registration is up to 15 of 90. In past years sign-ups really took off around Aug 10, so don't get left out.

New hole number signs going up this week. Thanks to Brandon at ASR Graphics for the decals and stencils. Sure looks nicer than my freehand.

Registrations at 29 of 90 with 22 days to tee-off. The next 10 days have been the busiest for sign-ups the last 3 years, so don't get left out. No pros yet to split the $500+ added cash...

Are there any camping facilities along the river near the course? I'd love to have a cheap place to stay and reason to bring the canoe.

Only 22 spots left. Online registration extended to Monday evening.

Course is looking good, player pack wicking T-shirts look awesome, and Team U.F.O is ready to show our playing guests some Hickory Hospitality.

Twelve spots left.
Mel needs company in Pro Masters. And a few more Am women playing would be nice. Please call folks you know and balance out those divisions.
Thanks to Freddy, Nate L and Richard S for work day today, although I don't know about the new creature haunting hole 12.

Registration is nearing the end as 82 of 90 spots are confirmed. Online registrations have not been going through which may mean the last spots are already filled. I should get the final confirmations tonight and post the final roster around 9 PM Monday, 8/30/10.

There is no waiting list, but I am keeping a list of players who would interested in buying a spot from someone who has to drop-out.

Registration is closed and the field of 90 is up on the registration page.
Online registration filled on Saturday night. Some tried to register after that and saw some spots were left. I'm told that was due to a refresh issue and some browsers load out of date pages to save time. If there are times in the future when you can't complete online registration, try hitting the refresh button.

Thanks to all who got in and those who tried. This is looking to be another great field of competitors. Lets just hope Earl stays away from our friends on the coast.

Thanks for the heads-up Craig. He's in your division this time, so try to keep the buzz to a minimum and maybe the scores will add up.

Still looking for a place to camp out if anything in the area is available. The site by the river is RV only and apparently my Envoy and a tent don't qualify.

If I can find a place to put a tent near the river, I'll be bringing my canoe for sure!

Good luck guys and I look forward to seeing some familiar faces this weekend.

The tournament was a lot of fun. Thanks to everyone that sacrificed their time to make things go smoothly.

One thing that frustrated me the most, though, was the lack of a tournament disc. I hang every tournament disc on my wall and now there is a blank spot where Hickory Classic 2010 should go.

The whole time I thought the ticket in the players book was for a tournament disc at the end of round four. Instead it was for...ice cream from a guy drinking Rolling Rock. Dude, at least you could have given me one of those beers!

And the rude comment about "rifling" through the discs while asking about a tournament disc kinda chafed me in a way Gold Bond can't even handle. I don't need your plastic..I just wanted some memorabilia.

Anyways, thanks to everyone who spent time on this tournament. Not sure I'll be making the 5 hour drive next year, though.

Great shooting MJ! And big ups to all of the aces.
