Howdy,

I'm wondering why the link to pre-registration was taken out of the event schedule listing. When the schedule shows the little "pre-reg info available" icon next to the tourney name, you used to be able to click that and go straight to the pre-reg, but now it just goes straight to the very barren "tourney info" page where you have to click again to look at the pre-reg list.

As a recap, in the past the tourney name was a link that went to "tourney info" and the pre-reg icon was a different link.

Any reason for the change? It was very convenient, particularly when the PDGA site is loading slowly. Plus the "tourney info" page really doesn't show any interesting info except for the one time when you want to register. Other than that one time I'm only looking for registration updates and results.

Rhett,

I clicked on a few of the pre reg icons (the "open book" icons), and it took me straight away to a pre reg list.

More puzzling to me are the tournaments that have the PDGA signup available (the "inkwell and pen" icons), but have no pre reg icon, and no link under the signup page that shows any pre reg player info.

Bill - That is because even though you can signup online - if the TD doesn't upload the players name and info there is nothing for the website to link to. :)

It is not automatic - it relies on TD's actually doing their parts.

Okay, I have more info now. I was starting to think it was a logged-in/not-logged-in thing like being able to view embedded pictures in posts, but that wasn't it.

From the regular schedule the book icon is a separate link that goes straight to the pre-reg list, and the tourney name is a link to tourney info. BUT...from the Advanced Search results the listing looks pretty much identical with tourney name and book icon, EXCEPT they are all just one link to the tourney info. No link directly to the pre-reg from the Advanced Search results.

Sometimes I access the schedule from a computer that loads the PDGA site slower than seems possible in the 21st century, so I want to use the Advanced search so I don't have to page through the months and incur the load-wait multiple times. But since I most often check the registration for upcoming tourneys it doesn't really help because then I have to wait for the tourney info page to load and then the pre-reg to load.

Then that should be a no-brainer for the TDs, since we know that they don't have much to do before the tournament begins anyway.
