Don't forget, BIG DADDY'S BBQ will be offering the "Disc Golfer's" special for lunch on Saturday. I bet he will even offer it if you come play the course beforehand and go eat at his place. Make sure to tell him and his staff thanks for always helping Disc Golf in Amarillo! Right around the corner from the course at River Road & Hastings.

The Super Long position for #11 is now cleaned out and ready to use. Seems like someone thought it would be funny to stuff trash in the sleeve. The traditional #11 spot is GOOD TO GO!

I got a stack of discs today from the Parks Dept. Around 12-15 that went in the Bomb Squad area. Only one name that I recognized. Several no-namers. Let me know if you've put one over that fence.

Was just looking for a flyer myself. Always have to consider any tournament in West Tx! Had an absolute blast in Lubbock a few weekends back!

Sorry guys, I tried to post a flyer here this weekend and failed miserably:confused:. Even using my hammer and a drill I couldn't get it to work. Good thing computer skills aren't required to have fun!
Open will be $40 for pDGA members, Pro Women & Pro Master will be $35, Adv & Am divisions will be $30, and Junior $25. $10 fee for non-members and a $5 ACE POT (optional). There will be NO EXTRA charge for any rain that happens to fall.
We'll register players until 0900, get the players meeting going at 0915, and try to blow the 1st round horn at 0945. After the first round, head to BIG DADDY'S BBQ for a good deal on lunch, then the second round somewhere around 1430-1500 (2:30-3:00).
After the second round, we'll have burgers & beer/soda for everyone, plus some fun.
3rd round will get going at 10:00 Sunday morning, with awards following. Travelers should be able to get on the road by around 1500 (3:00pm).

Well that second round knocked the wind out of some sails. We saw a record round from the BLUE TEES this morning (49), and lots of struggles this afternoon. Weather was mostly HOT and fairly calm. Several states represented with a total of 49 players. We'll try to get scores uploaded as soon as possible but I'm having trouble finding the e-mail with the password for the pDGA website.

Scores are posted. There weren't enough propogators in the Am divisions to generate unofficial ratings. But Chuck and Roger can work their magic and probably get ratings generated when the next available ratings update happens. It probably wont be the August 31 update since they usually dont include any events within 2 weeks of a ratings update. Look for the Am ratings on the following update.
Congrats to Chris Lee on his first Open win. Thanks to Rock and the Amarillo crew for another good event. Except for the heat, the weather could not have been better.
