Hey Tyson,
This will be my first time playing Lake's Edge and have no doubts this will be a great tourney on a great course.
I'll be driving from Winston-Salem.. BUT if I wanted a camping spot on Saturday near 11's basket ... are cars allowed out there as well? How close are the showers if I did decide to camp?
Looking forward to this weekend. The weather is shaping up to be great!
Thanks,
-Mike

What up Mike!
The camping is car camping and you can pull up to right where you set up your tent. Showers are on the other side of the park, which is 5,000 feet (thats an estimate). It is a little bit of a hike, you could drive over there. The primitive campground is on a boy scout camp, so there is a nice fire pit, etc. Should be some people out there, as I have had a few inquires. Camping is $5 per night, and that will go towards the course. We have put up string and flags to keep campers away from 11s lond tee pad. I hope to be able to get out of work early enough tomorrow to put up signs for Friday campers, but since you car coming Sat, that shouldnt be a problem.
Intermediate division is growing and you are sure to have a great time, thank you for coming out!

Tyson, what holes are going to be shortened? Will they be in the shorter positions every round? I'm debating playing this weekend even though my shoulder and neck are kinda jacked up. Depends how I feel in the next couple of days.

Toomes Nation,
The short placements are as follows, and will be played once a day (4 rounds total, once from longs, once from shorts...each day)
1,2 and 3 are same both layouts
4 is short pin (top of the hill)
5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are all the same both layouts
10 is short pin (before opening to road)
11 is short tee (400' downhill vs. 600' from long)
12 is a short pin (located through the opening at bottom of the hill)
13 is a short pin (righty hyzer through the gap on left side of hole)
14 and 15 are the same
16 is a short tee (from across the water, straight putter shot)
17 stays the same
18 is a short tee (new for the LEO, up to the right on the hill by the bridge...super sweet shot!)
All shorts are the same as when you last played except for hole #18
We wish you a speedy recovery and hope to see you on Saturday!
Thanks and yall keep the questions coming.

FAQs:
Online registration will close tonight, Thursday, August 5th.
Check in on Saturday is at the park store by 9am (not shelter #1 as in previous years). There will be a line, so if you want to practice, get there early. I will be set up and ready to take payments by 8am.
Camping is available by hole #11s tee pad for $5 per night (bath house is at the park, but it is a fairly good hike...suggest you drive over).
BRING $5 FOR LUNCH ON SATURDAY, that will get you food for both days!
We have sweet discs for the players pack and all AMs will recieve their choice of a few molds.
Ace pool is optional and we will collect $1 at the time of sign in.

One last note, we have drinks that we will be giving away, but it has been muggy out at the course. PLEASE BRING PLENTY OF FLUIDS to make sure you stay hydrated. I have been cramping up pretty bad at night, and try to drink as much water as possible.
IF YOU HAVE EXTRA LAWN CHAIRS, PLEASE CONSIDER BRINGING THEM. We do not have benches for groups of 4 or 5 by each tee (we plan to soon), so extra seating would be great!
IF YOU HAVE A STOOL, THIS IS THE COURSE TO USE IT. (Larry Ellis, that means you)

Sorry for all the questions, but I've got one more. How high is the water right now? Can you actually throw the anny on 15?

I love questions. Water is down. But still a risky shot. I would say pin is 10 feet off the water's edge. Can I throw that anny? Maybe, but MJ will park it.

Hey Tyson,
Thanks for getting back at me. I'm thinking about driving up Friday now to get a feel for the course. When I get there... do I pay for the two nights at the park store when I sign in? or do I pay somewhere else? ...
that should be the last of my questions.:)

We will either take money when you sign in for the tourney, or come by the site to collect the money. We may resort to the ol' honor system and have everyone pay on Sunday at lunch too. We will let you know during the players meeting.
Thanks!
