Thanks for the post Dave.
First of all..
There are other options than online registration, especially this early. You can easily mail me a check or even visit and SECU branch and make a deposit into my account.
Secondly...
Yes, 55 is high, however, I consider this an A Tier. In fact, this WOULD be an A Tier if Kentwood were not played (the SSA is too low - in the future, we will be an A Tier once Middle Creek is 100% ready to host the event for the 2nd round) - the payout is certainly A Tier quality. In fact, it's better than most A Tiers in my opinion.
Hope to see ya there Dave!

thanks for the info. robert. Online registration is by far and large the easiest and most convenient way to register for an event for the player and the TD. But i will not be gouged by the online reg. host so there will be a check in the mail....of course i am coming i will not miss this event if i have a choice
in my opinion the teir of the event is irrelevent to the cost of enrty in most respects. i enjoy playing competitive golf but if entries keep increasing i think all events nation wide will see a decrease in participation. and you can still have a great payout in Am without raising the entry. Just my opinion
check the boards often for this event as i am sure you will. this is the most convenient place to discuss sanctioned events......on the sanctioning bodies website.
Other than that i think this event is off to a great start:-) see everyone soon.

Thanks, Dave.
I understand your thoughts on online registration and agree with them. This is why as a TD I offer as many ways to register as I can.
As far as the entry, yes, you can have a great payout with a lower entry fee. But I think my payout and player pack (which is going to be very good - trust me - I just don't want to spoil anything until I have it in stone) has been more than justified. I have already given out 9 baskets in jus 2 years of this event. Most events haven't given out 1 basket in 9 years of their event.
And yeah, I check the board every day, just don't log on unless I post.
Glad you are coming!

Robert,
You should consider my sliding scale entry fee scheme, makes it palatable for all skill levels, and is proving to be quite successful. Go look at the Soiree field and note the even spread from 1029 down to 864 all in one division.

Thanks for the thoughts Craig,
We have had many talks and I feel that you and I are definitely on the same page with entry fees and divisions. It is definitely something I will consider in the future and I have definitely seen your success with it.
However at this time, we will stick with a standard entry and standard divisions for this year.
Thanks for the input and congrats on another amazing Soiree. I will make it up there for that event one of these years!

The first 60 ams to sign up will receive a very nice Dri-Fit shirt in their player packs. Last year we ordered waaaaaay too many and it cost us a good bit of money which hurt the payout, so we are doing 60 this year. Ams - sign up now to guarantee yourself one of these AWESOME shirts (if we have more than 60 ams, the ams past the 60th spot will receive discs equivalent in value to the shirt).

The pre-reg list is now up.
17 people in already! Only 73 more spots.
If things go like they did in the last few years, the spots will be gone pretty quickly!

A few people have mentioned to me that they have been having issues with Paypal.
Yes, there was an issue with paypal. It is now back up! Sorry for any confusion!
So far, the only paypals I have received are Erin Swiger, Sue Smith, Rocky Geist, Rick Black. Mike Inscho, Al Ballard, Paul Fries, Jason Gelband, Jimmy Stine and Aaron Saft.
If you have signed up via paypal and are not one of these folks, please re-register!

We are now over half full .
In my experience with this tournament and countless others, the last half goes quicker than the first half.
Get registered now and get it.
And a note to amateurs, only the first 60 amateurs signing up will receive a dri fit shirt in their player packs. There are currently 37 amateurs signed up, so only 23 shirts are left.
If you know you are playing, why wait?

23 Spots left not including at least 3 entires received today.
Ams : 7 shirts left not including at least 3 entries today (which are all ams).
I will be leaving town for a week tomorrow. I will have someone check my mail daily so if you still mail in a check, I will get in a timely fashion. However, anyone wanting to meet me to play will need to do this before 5:30 Thursday.

12 spots left after last night's registrations.
The shirts for amateurs are officially gone. Ams on the list at this time WILL receive a shirt. If there are anymore am spots in the last 12 registrations received, you will receive 2 discs instead of 1.
Please note I am in Augusta, GA. I have someone checking my mail each day, so if you have mailed in a registration but don't see it on the list, fear not, it will be received.
If you are playing, you better register quickly. I don't expect there to be spots after Tuesday.

Jul 12 2010, 08:11 PM
6 spots left.
If you don't see your name and you have paypaled, don't worry - the paypals are time stamped so I know who registered first.
The only mailed entry I received today was Haywood Rhodes.
And here comes my annual message...
AS NOTED ON THE FLYER, ALL PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN BY 8:30 AT BUCKHORN. PLEASE NOTE THE EARLY STARTING TIME DUE TO TRAVEL
Despite me saying this every year, there's always someone who doesn't do it. Don't be that guy.

We are now full. Please contact me to get on the waitlist.
Wait list will work like this:
Should someone drop out, the person on top of the list will then be put in the event and emailed.
Payment for that person is not due until the morning of the event.
At 8:30, any players who have not checked in will be dropped from the event and I will start calling wait list names.
Once again, and this will be last time.
Especially since we have a wait list, it is vital all players check in by 8:30.
See everyone Saturday.
