If you're like me, one of the most time intensive parts of running a tourney or a mini is figuring out payout. The spreadsheet that the PDGA provides is great and all, but it doesn't speed things up if you're still having to figure out twenty plus payouts, or if you don't have a computer handy.

To make this process move faster I've developed a smart phone web app to calculate payout. If you have an iPhone, an Android phone or a Palm WebOS phone you'll be able to use this webapp to figure out your next event's payout.

Please note: This app is designed for phones and not a traditional computer.

I'll be adding Pro payout to the app soon. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions.

Any thoughts on making the payout percentage a selectable variable like it is in the PDGA TD report?

I'll look into it. For now you could just enter the inverse percentage into the 'Management Fee' field (e.g. if you're payout percentage is 77% then enter 23% for the management fee).

I'm also looking into adding the Pro table to the webapp.

I think he means paying out 50% of the field or 55% of the field or 40% of the field, not paying out 90% of the entries.

this is awesome, leave it to a birdshoter to come up with this. If you could change the payout depth (percentage) this would rock for all mini situations. Looking forward to Conroe and Klein.

Found a bug; I plugged in $10 entries for 25 players with a 50% management fee (still no clue what the management fee is, so some explanation would be great), but anyhow it reported that 8th place got $68 (where 7th got $8 and 9th got $6).
