Slappy's Revenge is back!!!

The Albemarle Disc Golf Association is back and getting stronger after the unfortunate events last year. Fortunately, that player is no longer in the state!!

We will be hosting a PDGA C-Tier on Saturday and Sunday, October 30-31, 2010. Open and Advanced players will play blue tees on Saturday and Sunday morning and white tees Saturday and Sunday afternoon. All other divisions will play the white tees both days.

We are planning on adding two additional holes to the current 18 hole layout. Register and see what we cook up.

Come out and see if you can tame the fox!!

I have indicated that we can handle 100 players, but will amend this to allow 80 players. Foursomes only, no fivesomes!!

More details to come as we get closer to the event.

Russell is promising us a cool pumpkin disc as well in the player's package.

It's almost time for some Halloween Disc Golf in Albemarle. What are you waiting for Charlotte? Come on out and play this awesome course in your backyard. Three rounds of 20 holes each with CTP's for every card. Fox Chase provides you with an opportunity for great ratings. A 54 on the 18 hole course generated a 978 rated round. Come and get some!!

Slappy's Revenge 2010 is history. For all those that attended, thanks! For those of you who missed the event, you missed a great time. The weather was great and the course was in awesome shape. Strange Disc Sports provided the usual "extras" that Z always brings, adding a level of fun to the event that is unlike most of the typical tournaments. Congratulations to all the winners and to the 30 folks winning CTP prizes. We even had a special appearance on Sunday by "Meagan Locastro". Great costume! And a special congrats to Dave Gephardt, who broke John's heart in winning the CE Firebird in the throwoff! Don't cuddle that disc too much Dave!

An additional thanks to all those that traveled distances to play the event! You know how much I appreciated all of your efforts! Awesome supporters! I also wanted to thank the fellow old pharts for coming out. We had a great group of Masters, Grandmasters and Senior Grandmasters. You really showed that NC tournaments should be offering these divisions all the time. Build it and us old parts will travel!
