I know the Oklahoma Disc Golf Foundation sponsored Gary Harrison's entry into the 19 and under division and plans to help with some of his costs once he is there.

Along with some of the others going to worlds, make sure you give Gary your support before he takes off! He is on a mission to smash those juniors!

Jim Geurin is going to worlds as well, best of luck to all competitors!

They updated the list 2 days ago and his name wasn't on the list but I see they updated it again and added 8 more people.....

What Hotel are you guys staying at?

They are staying at the Super 8 in Marion. It was one of the choices on the Worlds web site.

It seems to be a decent hotel and location..

These courses are horrible, the courses we have played so far are like hole 1 at black hawk but with 100 more trees and 100 - 300 feet longer. They put luck and skill WAY to close together.

Once you get east of Tulsa a lot of the courses are very wooded.

keep chugging along man, everyone has to play the same shots you do! your skill will elevate you to the top!

Gary had a ride snafu this round, and had to take 7's on a slew of holes before he could make it to the venue. The courses were way spread out, and it was easy to get crossed up if something happened to your ride. In this case his driver was caught up in a longer than expected round, no one had a cell phone to call for backup, and Murphey's law kicked in big time.

To Gary's credit, he finished his round anyway, and took it all in stride. What a great young sportsman he is. We can all be proud of the way he represented Tulsa at Worlds!
