I'll be scheduling a Tourney Team meeting at some point in the next 2 weeks to prep for the event.
Would people rather meet at the course & play/prep, or would people rather meet at my house & hang out/prep?
Would people rather meet during the week or on the weekend?

Holes 1 - 5 are mowed completely. These look as good as they've ever been.
Holes 6 - 10 are not mowed and are not playable. If you play them right now you are assured to lose some plastic. I've contacted the city to get the mowing crew back out there ASAP to finish the mowing job.
Holes 11 - 18 are mowed completely. These look as good as they've ever been. The fairways are perfectly mowed. The rough is not mowed and is VERY FIERCE. It makes these holes play much harder, especially holes 14, 15, 16, 17, & 18.

Played the course (most of it) Sunday afternoon.
It is definitely not tournament-ready now.
Several ponds of water sit on the course in inconvenient locations.
1-4 are playable.
The right side of 5's fairway and the walk down to 6's tee are slick with mud and draining water.
6-9 are overgrown with weeds; lost a disc in the weeds above 6's basket and in the weeds right of 7's basket and in the weeds down the steep slope to the right of 8's basket. Skipped 9 entirely. 10 is marginally playable.
11 is surrounded by weeds but the bowl where the green sits is open.
12-13 and 18 are playable.
Didn't play 14-17 because I was running out of time.
It's going to be a while before the hillside between 5 and 6's fairways can be mowed.
I'll be out there Monday afternoon.

Had a nice showing of people to help with the tourney ... here's a recap.
Corey Peschke is the Director of Scoring. He'll be working with Jayson Houston at the scorers table.
Rick Perez is the Director of Course Operations. He'll be leading the effort to setup the course, mark the OB, get water on the course, setup tee signs, etc. He'll be working with Ben Blount on this.
Jerry & Jeanie Lively will be running the Jerry's Cherries Challange after each round. $2 a throw or 3 for $5. Same CTP as last year, similar format to the CTP throw off at the Throwdown.
One Shot will be serving as the Executive Chef, no need to leave for lunch!
Orlando Pereida & Marcos Castillo are the Directors of Shananigans. They'll be coordinating after round games and activities including Kan Jam, Raffles, Ring of Fires, etc.
Micah Samuelsen & Scott Hougland are Tournament Directors and will be handling registration of players and all the other tourney stuff.
Thanks all ... YOU ROCK!

Great job Corey, Jerry, Ben, & RICK for working on the course. This was the best condition we've had a course with regards to markings yet. It really looked very professional. I didn't here one singal complaint or issue with the OB markings. In fact, several people commented on how good it look and how it created a better course with OB on 1, 4, 7, 16, & 18.
