Figures, I make the trip up there the last 2 years, and this year I get work piled up for that week, lame. By far the best courses for tournaments, even if I play them horribly. It will be interesting to see if anyone has a run at taking down schweb and mj on the home turf. Hope Schweb goes all ape on Renny gold like he did 2 years ago, absolutely ridiculous what he did that day.

I realize this is a shameless plug but..everyone should come to Stoney Hill for The Challenge the weekend before (4/17 & 4/18). We are only 90 miles from Charlotte and should offer a decent tune up for Charlotte's big event. A private course in a rural setting with free camping. What more can you ask for?

Courses and everything are coming together nicely. I believe we will be able to put on a very good event for our first NT in Charlotte. I sure hope everyone is ready for alot of trees!!! Welcome to the east coast woods and everything will be in full bloom this year. So the courses have teeth in them!!

i want to see tree proof golf that would be sweet, those 150 class discs cant take to many trees anyway.
When are you coming up Jonas? we should play a round or two and I can show you some good zen lines.

Just left the course, was up there on a lunch break. 79, bright and sunny. A few light showers very early this morning.

Did get to see Nikko throw in a 2 from about 150 foot out on hole 5. Sick score on that hole and not sure if it's ever been 2'd before. Hole #5 on the web. 540' par 4.

Kenny's unofficially rated 1078 round of 56 would match his other two 1078 rounds at Winthrop and Vista del Camino which are tied for second best all-time for courses with SSAs over 66.

I'm glad I was there to "round out the field" acccording to the PDGA story on the home page :) - and get my FIRST NT win!

Stan's designs make you take EVERYTHING into account when you play, and even though I ddin't play them well, I still appreciate the design aspects of them.

Congrats to Dave, Val, Phil for their wins.

Conrats to all the Georgia players who FINISHED the Event as they all cashed.

Phil, Kevin(who also got 1 of the 5 USDGC Spots), Brad, Chris Foley, myself, and my adopted Georgian Sarah Stanhope all took home cash and Phil and I got the GREAT trophy paintings done by David "Wheetie" French - who coincidently happened to win ADV at the 2002 Am Worlds I ran in Miami in 2002 - so a little 8 year back story tie-in to my first NT win.
