Hello all, Friday and Saturday April 9-10th The city of Live Oak will be celebrating its 50th anniversary. Satuday, I will be hosting a Disc Golf info and activity booth. I will be setting up @ 10am, festivities run from noon to 11pm. (fireworks over the lake @ 10pm). I am looking for some volunteers to help me run the booth, if you are looking to give back to our city that supports us, this is the perfect oppertunity for you to participate. I could use all the help I can get. We can cordinate times for different shifts as I understand you can't spend all day out there.
If you cannot volunteer your time, Please volunteer your plastic, any used disc and other donations I could give away/sell. All donations will be greatly appriciated, last time we ran out of items by 6pm. We did raise some money for the club, but more importantly, we created a buzz about the game and got new players into the park. All proceeds go to LODGA club fund. If you have any ideas for the booth please let me know. My goal is to promote the game, our club, and other local courses to continue to grow this sport in our area. I would also like the city to see Kan Jam and Night golf being played.
Please see below for the city's agenda. If you have never been out to Park Day, I encourage you to bring your family and come checkout all the vendors and activities, it's pretty cool.
Thanks for all your help and continued support,
