Today we set up a 4-hole disc golf course at the school I teach at for Field Day. All of the holes were probably 100-150 feet in length. The kids had an awesome time. Big thanks to Rick Perez, Justin Goss, and Paul Taylor for donating baskets for this event. Next year I'd like to recruit some help and put together a full 9-hole course for Field Day. I'd love to post some pictures, but need to get written permission from parents first.

Perhaps the best moment was when one of my 2nd grade girls came within inches of getting an ace on her very first hole of the day. She threw my Elite-Z Buzz on a hyzer route that landed right behind the basket. At least she was able to drop in for a birdie :)

Based on the feedback I've gotten from students and parents, I'd like to possibly set up a family day event for the school out at Nani (since it's about 2 miles from my school) sometime in April/May. I think it would be a great way to promote SADC and disc golf in general. I'd like to do it on a Saturday afternoon so it doesn't interfere with the morning mini on Saturday.

Let me know if you'd be willing to help out or have suggestions for a possible date. Thanks in advance!

That is cool. Just let me know what the date is and we can cancel the Saturday Morning Mini. Have the kids out in the morning when it's a little cooler.
