The 14th Annual Brent Hambrick Memorial Open will once again be contested at the scenic Hoover Reservoir in Westerville, Ohio. We will be playing on the 27 hole Brent Hambrick Memorial DCG and the 18 hole temporary west course.

Columbus has been a stop on the prestigious PDGA tour since the early 90’s when Brent Hambrick (PDGA #2797) ran one of the best tournaments in the country - The Columbus Open. Brent set the standard for all tournaments with his professionalism and attention to details. After losing his battle with Leukemia in 1997, the tournament was renamed in his honor and has been a charity fundraiser for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. To date, the BHMO has raised over $36,000 in the last thirteen years.

The Columbus Flyers Disc Golf Club takes great pride in hosting the BHMO. We continue to strive to present the most competitive courses and the best player experience possible.

The BHMO features a final 9 with the famous “Dam Shot” and one of the biggest galleries you will see all year. With many player amenities from a players’ party at Quaker Steak and Lube to Dairy Queen Treats, we hope your tournament experience is enjoyable and memorable. We look forward to seeing old friends, and making new ones.

* The National Tour divisions will include all Men and Women, Open Pro, Masters, and Grandmasters.

* The Super Tour divisions will include all Amateur Men and Women- Advanced, Intermediate, Recreational, and Novice.

* All divisions require at least 4 players to open a division

Registration is open for the N/T and A-Tier at: http://columbusdiscgolf.com/10BHMO/

As always the Columbus Flyers DGC will be working hard to provide you the best player experience possible.

Clash dvd will be recording the N/T event and making a 3 disc cd for sale.

We once again will be having a professional clinic sponsored by the PDGA and the columbus Flyers on Thurs. the 8th.

Our Raffle has become an intregal part of our fundraising for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and fun for the players and spectators as well. I would like to reach out to everyone who plans to attend our event and those retailers who may want to help us in our cause. If you could donate an item to our raffle from your club, yourself, your business? It doesn't have to be disc golf related, anything that you think may help us is appreciated. Just drop off items at tournament central or see me.
100% of all ticket sales go directly to our charity. Your items are on display all weekend for players and spectators to view, giving you some good exposure.

Thanks in advanced for your consideration,
Paul Jay

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. Only 16 spots remain(this includes the 7 reserved spots for touring card holders and past N/T winners) and the am side is full, which usually prompts some ams to register in the pro side just to play.
Would love to have you. Register NOW!

http://columbusdiscgolf.com/10BHMO/registration.html

Also if you are registered but have yet to pass the proficiency exam:

New for 2010 - Anyone wishing to compete in a National Tour event must first pass a PDGA rules proficiency exam. If you have not yet passed this exam, click on this link to do so: http://www.pdga.com/rules-proficiency-exam.

Thank you, Paul Jay

Paul Jay-

I signed up the other day and still haven't seen my name hit the pre-reg list. I'm wondering if I made it in before it filled?

Thanks

Dana, are you playing pro or am? The Ams have been full for quite a while, there are about 11 on that list. On the Pro side I think there are a few on the waiting list at this point. I would say if your name is not on the PDGA, you are on the waiting list for sure though. Paul is pretty good about checking the message board, but I will shoot him a message regarding this just in case.
