Currently $2500 to add to the MPO division. By the time the event hits we should have our goal of 3K.

I have started to upload registered players. We are anticipating 4 pools of 72 players. This event is going to be sweet!

Here is a hypothetical pro payout with 60 Open Players and the estimated $3000 added cash we are anticipating (Currently $2500).

(60 pros X $50entry) - (60 pros x $4 pdga fee) = $2760
(This is the pro entry fee based on 60 pros @ $50 each minus the $4 per player PDGA fee.)

$2760 + $3000 = $5760 total purse.

Why the $50 fee? We don't believe you should have to pay a ton of money to play a weekend of disc golf even at major events. At this event the MPO will be playing for just as much of added cash as the entry fees. Tired of playing for each others entries?

Following based on 40% payout:

1 - 1000
2 - 700
3 - 500
4 - 375
5 - 300
6 - 275
7 - 250
8 - 225
9 - 200
10 - 185
11 - 175
12 - 165
13 - 155
14 - 145
15 - 140
16 - 130
17 - 125
18 - 120
19 - 115
20 - 110
21 - 100
22 - 95
23 - 90
24 - 85

I just feel like I should reiterate the pro added cash plan so that no one whom I like (L.C.) or fear (S.D.) :D will be shocked or dismayed. (I like you too, S.D., but I fear the power of the pen.)

All of the pro "added cash" is going to the MPO division. What this means is that for the cash-paid divisions other than MPO, your total purse will be equal to your combined entry fees with no deduction for the PDGA $5 fees. $50 X N = P.

Women, old men, now you know. By PDGA standards the cash paid divisions other than MPO will get 110+%, but by ordinary 5th grade math standards, it will feel like 100%.

When Brett says that he has $2500 to add but hopes to have $3000 to add, he is talking about gross added cash before deducting for PDGA fees. So if we were to have 72 total pros in all pro divisions, $360 of that $2500 or $3000 would go to the PDGA and the rest would go to Open. I'm pretty sure the hypothetical payout was accounting for the $5 fees, but if not, I'm pretty sure we'll account for them at the tournament!

I think TDs should be free to do whatever they need to do with the added cash. We are doing this, because this is what it takes to motivate our fund raising efforts to create the added cash. If someone were to step up to raise money to add to the women or old men, we'd give it to them. So far, we've only had people step up to raise added money for MPO, so that's where it's going.

The A pool is filling up fast. If you were thinking about playing Men's Pro Open, quit thinking and grab a spot. A-pool will probably fill in the next 24 hours. Almost $3000 added.

B, C and D pools still have plenty of room. Pick your own player packs, pick your own prizes, some of the CTPs will be pick your own too, from Scott Pitner's unending merchastravaganza(TM).

Because of the large number of pre-qualified players, Am Nationals qualifying is likely to go deep. If you are not yet qualified for Am Nationals this is your best chance.

Intermediate, Rec, Novice, Rec women, Am Grand -- we're offering every division. We do not require a certain number of players to run a division.

Final 9 for MPO??

David,

The other pools will be finished or near finshed when the A Pool is out playing their final round. They will have the option to watch the final round if they want. When we did at the Rockford A-Tier there were 75 or so people following the lead card. The B & D pool will have the option of watching the Pros on Gold on Saturday too.

See you this weekend.
