Begging (or panhandling) is to request a donation in a supplicating manner. Beggars are commonly found in public places such as street corners, public transport, and Disc Golf courses where they request money, most commonly in the form of spare change. They may use cups, boxes or hats to collect the donations.

The definition of so called "Aggressive panhandling" may vary in time and space. In the USA, aggressive panhandling generally involves the solicitation of donations in an intimidating or intrusive manner. Examples may include:
• Soliciting near ATM banking machines.[4]
• Soliciting from customers inside a store or restaurant.
• Placing an item (like a pack of bubble gum) next to a written sob story, offering the item as a gift, and asking for a contribution.
• Extending the head and both arms, or even the hand, into a car window to solicit.
• Soliciting after dark.[4]
• Approaching individuals from behind, as they are exiting their vehicles, to solicit.
• Soliciting in a loud voice, often accompanied with wild gesticulations.[4]
• The use of insults, profanity, or veiled threats.
• Refusing to take "No" for an answer or following an individual.[4]
• Demanding more money after a donation has been given.
• Invasion of personal space, cornering, blocking or inappropriate touching.[4]
• A "team" of several beggars approaching an individual at once, often surrounding the person.
• "Camping out" in a spot where begging negatively influences some other business (such as in front of a store or restaurant) in the hope that the business owner will give money to make the beggar go away.
• Use of sales pitch techniques and appeals to emotion.

A professional is a member of a vocation founded upon specialised educational training.
The word professional traditionally means a person who has obtained a degree in a professional field. The term professional is used more generally to denote a white collar working person, or a person who performs commercially in a field typically reserved for hobbyists or amateurs.
In western nations, such as the United States, the term commonly describes highly educated, mostly salaried workers, who enjoy considerable work autonomy, a comfortable salary, and are commonly engaged in creative and intellectually challenging work.[1][2][3][4] Less technically, it may also refer to a person having impressive competence in a particular activity.[5]
Because of the personal and confidential nature of many professional services and thus the necessity to place a great deal of trust in them, most professionals are held up to strict ethical and moral regulations.

In sports, a professional is someone who participates for money. The opposite is amateur, meaning a person who does not play for money, but in an academic (e.g. college football) or other private setting. The term "professional" is commonly used incorrectly when referring to sports, as the distinction simply refers to how the athlete is funded, and not necessarily competitions or achievements.
Sometimes the professional status of an activity is controversial; for example, there is debate as to whether professionals should be allowed to compete in the Olympic Games. The motivation for money (either in rewards, salaries or advertising revenue) is sometimes seen as a corrupting influence, tainting a sport.

there will be some money added to open and some to am as well. Not sure about the amount yet. The doubles (the flyers you've seen might have the wrong prices) will be only $20 per team for ams and pros! 100% payout! Come out and have a great time. We'll have the lsdiscs booth set up on friday and you can come out and tee off when you have time or get off work!

if you could, you should post a schedule of the events youre running in the area. im willing to bet other tulsans besides myself would travel to play in another event like this.

Hey everybody! I posted the results on pdga this morning. Sorry for not getting it posted last night but it was late when we rolled into town. Also, there were some people that didnt get their payout for their doubles so if you didnt pick it up, let me know and I can let you know how much credit you have. The Am side paid out to 41 I believe.

Thanks again to the TDSA for having us in town and for allowing us to run the tournament and thanks to everyone who came out to join us for the 1st Annual Tulsa Pro/Am. We had a blast down there and love being in Tulsa so we will definitely be back soon. Also, for anyone who is interested in travelling to any other tournaments, here's a list of what we have coming up that you can add to your calendar. I'll keep you updated on others we will be adding for this fall...

-May 8th - Capital City Classic C Tier -- Topeka Kansas
-July 17th - LSDiscs Open C Tier -- Topeka Kansas
-July 18th - Lawrence Open C Tier -- Lawrence Kansas
-Sept 25-26 --Mighty Shunga Open A Tier -- Topeka Kansas

You can always see what we have coming up at www.lsdiscs.net

i saw that as well.

the pro's moose run ratings match up with our moose ratings, so I am assuming that our bears lair scores will match up with theirs. at least thats what i'm going on until i'm proven wrong, which is usually the case.

I'm proud of you for playing Open Hatton. I knew you could do it. 1st Pro cash!! Awesome!!

Did you accept cash or trade for discs Chris ??? I would have been in the exact same boat had I played open. That was my dilemma. I was talking to Kyle before the tourney about Not wanting to have to settle for last place cashing in pro and having to stay pro or get discs anyway. Thats why I went Advanced. Great job though keeping it together. Way to overcome.

I also noticed that the Rec division had some very high ratings on their second round...and I am assuming that their second round was on Moose...if that is the case, then they threw lights-out on Moose...the worse round in Rec on Moose was only 6 throws off the hot round of the day on Moose which was 46

It appears that their rounds have been switched...but I could be wrong.

He should be playing pro at ChandleStock!

I know a lot of people thought he bagged the division and yes, that is possible. But keep in mind, the boy just cam from Duncan the weekend before and got Duncaned. While Chandler is nothing even close to Duncan it does leave a lasting impression on a player. Matt just should have realized its Chandler and what he can shoot there. But I Do understand his thinking.

But from now on he should play advanced in sanctioned events at Chandler and pro in non-sanctioned.

i played on his card in the moose run round. he simply hit all the lines and made all his putts. he actually missed two or three putts from inside 20 that wouldve made his -6 even better. i couldnt hit a line or miss a tree to save my life. ive never struggled so hard to save a 56 on a course... ever.

Well Matt played advanced last year at CS so I'm sure he'll play advanced this year. The extra $10 for non-pdga member was probably cutting into his beer money fund and probably the reason he played intermediate.

Dan, I have never "narced" on anyone for "partaking" during a sanctioned event just like I have never had a High-Po tell me to park my car and get a motel room on the turnpike coming back from Stillwater.:o

In fact I actually saved someone at a sanctioned event at Riverside who was getting ready to light up in front of "the Wayne'ster" (a certified PDGA official).

I'm not trying to make "the big guy" mad because I know that drinking beer at CS makes people brave and it was the lack of being able to drink beer last weekend that caused him to fear the advanced division.:D
