It's the Winter Games buddy!!!!
You compete for medals and honor not payout.
On top of that you're getting lunch and a T-shirt.
Consider yourself banned from ChandlerStock. :p

The Sooner State Games is our STATE Olympics. None of the over 30 events is allowed to have a payout. The Olympics do not pay out. Your $20.00 entry / donation gets you a nice TShirt from the Oklahoma All Sports Committee, a collector pin (changes every year and season) some small schwag from various sponsors and lunch. Winners get a Gold, Silver or Bronze medal and qualify for the Americas Games in Colorado.
The flyer says "sponsors have donated a small amount of prizes" that get given away. DG is the only event to do that and we get away with it as a raffle. Everyone who has come to previous SSG's has had a blast and left happy.

Joe, when you say 30 events what kind of events are you talking about?

Kick Boxing???
Did you hear that Wise?
Just like when I kicked your butt in Wii boxing.
Prepare your mugg for another face plant on the canvas.:D

How about we just go for real kick boxing? I know I'll be safe from a guy that can't kick higher than his arse.

Considering the place at which your head is at 95% of the time, I believe arse level will be high enough.:p

Why does money have to be involved? I'm willing to do this for free.
Especially since I'm already putting something else where your mouth is. :p

Plus the cost of having a special heart trauma unit on hand in case one of you have the big one...

Feb 04 2010, 04:01 PM
No, I think I can win because you're chunkier than I am and your stubby arms are never going to get close. The most you can do is just try to bite and pull hair.
The hardest part is finding a suit that you can actually fit into. Maybe we could save some money and just wrap you up in bubble wrap. That way your demise would carry the sounds of "pop, pop, pop" as you're roll across the floor.
I think people would pay to see this. Especially if we put Hinds on the card because there would be a lot of people lining up to take a shot at him.:)

I won a Gold medal, another family member who I chose not to mention won the Bronze, so I am going for Silver just to complete the set!!!!

Do you not have any mirrors in your house?
I'm taller, better looking, quicker, have a longer reach and can just plain kick the shiet out of you.

Just let him ref, they'll have lots of fun with that one too. Heck he may even get knocked out.

The flyer says something about divisions, so is it all amateur divisions including the age protected ones or just one big all amateur division free for all?
sschumacher
Feb 04 2010, 04:34 PM
Taller??? Just shows there no limit to how high a pile of BS can go.
Better looking??? Only to the horse whose stall you shovel everyday. Jerry Garcia may be dead but he still has more groupies and followers than Kenny Rogers alive. Everytime I see you it reminds me that I need to go to the store and by a new Brillo pad to clean my bathtub.
Quicker??? Evidentally not quick enough to keep your thumb out of the way from the end of a crossbow bolt.
Longer reach??? Only because you're constantly having to reach backwards and pull your head out.
Get ready to rumble because come April......it's on!!!!

Chris Hatton
Feb 05 2010, 10:55 AM
pretty much, but id count one of the doubles, me and hoi took 2nd to patton and coda by a stroke, and beat a whole bunch of salty teams at devillio once :P that was earned proness.

One win does not make a pro. If I had to play in the open division, I would stay an Am. Thanks to age protection I get to call myself a pro. If I were an advanced player today, I wouldn't even consider turning pro unless my rating was 970+. Anything short of that will be a donation 95% of the time. Even in Pro Master or Grands, a rating of 950 will only get you in the bottom cash, sometimes.

Technically, one win when cash is placed in your hand does make you a Pro....
You may end up DFL forever, but that cash makes you a Pro..

Just wanted to thank Twisted Flyer and the Rotan's in general. I feel like I did better than break even for the weekend and i didnt cash at either event. Came home with 3 buzzz's Nice T, 2 sweet pins, and a Great Vibram Open DVD (already put it in the ps3). Had a great time playing with guys like Matt and Barry Joe from Ark. and playing with the General never disapoints. :) Thanks again for the good times.
Also special shout out to the Team Slack's Taco and Sandwich bar's over the weekend, never went hungry.
