Any one not going out of town sat. I will be having a work day at Dovillio starting at 10 am. We will be replacing the chain assembly on the baskets. I will put a list of tools we may need later. After the work is done we will have a mini for the workers with some sweet new disc! Thanks Gumby contact # 367-6876

Good job Gumby on signing for the chains and getting it going to put them on. Innova has agreed to send along 100 discs for those that come out assist Gumby and Company. From new Katanas to some serious star plastic favorites! The Hawks and Dovillio will be shinning... literally. a BIG THANKS to Innova for working with us on getting this hooked up!

Won't Innova want them back?

No Innova will not want them back. Too heavy to ship again. The old chains (minus a few sets set back for future club repairs) are going to be used in a project by Gumby to help raise funds for tee pads in Bristow. Look at it as yet another benefit to the "True growth" program...

we need people to bring slip joint pliers and or channel lock pliers, vicegripe pliers, 7/16 wrench and socket set or small ajustable wrench. I will be there early to cut the welds off of the basket tops. I will have a few extra tools for anyone who does not have tools.
We will be removing top of the basket after we spred the s hooks apart from the basket. then we will install the new chains and squeese the s hooks back together. Every worker will be rewarded by innova!!!

Thanks to everyone that showed up. The work went much quicker than I thought it would.
We had 17 people and John and Carla had it all going when I showed up at 10:00.
All workers received a disc. Then we played doubles.
Great day and great work by the disc golf gang that is the TDSA.

If you want to get me a set of those chains, I sample for a powder coating company in Ponca City. Last time I was there the owner was tellling me they can coat chains for baskets in a neon green glow in the dark color. Pretty sure she quoted me 65/set. This would be cool for some night golf courses. If this is something that sounds interesting let me know.

The chain exchange did go really smooth and all the help was awesome, but we wouldn't have been out there if it weren't for our State Coordinator and TDSA Administrator Joe Rotan talking with Innova and getting them to supply us with replacement chains and an incentive for club members to come out and do the labor(All those chains...and discs, your the man) . And another club administrator John Barton for excepting the task of being the one responsible for making sure that everything happened on the local level (and for assisting Carla)....The HUGE THANK YOU goes out to this group of people for taking care of the courses that we get to play whenever we like!!

... FurDog has the can of what is a very-close-match to that Innova color ... something like "Sun Yellow" , I think(?) ... I've had to eradicate little "ace-notes" and "I-was-here" scribbles and graffiti on those Chandler tops ... ! about 20-times over ! ...
