I looked on the USADGC website but they don't have the 2010 qualifiers up yet.
When is there going to be a list of tournies that are going to be used as qualifiers?
What credentials are used for these tournies?
Thanks for the help.

I have heard that it is basically (from the TD) any A-Tier Am event, and the same B-Tier events that have been grandfathered in and appear on the 2009 schedule, no new B-Tiers added in 2010 unless they were an A-Tier on the 2009 schedule are going to be qualifiers.

Our C tier Spring Fling in Denver was a qualifier before.
Does this mean it will be again?

Not sure about Spring Fling, I know the Apsen Treebush, High Plains and Colorado State Championships were qualifiers in CO. Not sure about the Spring Fling.

But all the info I go was from the TD of the USADGC, so I would ask him.

Here is a link to his contact info.

I need to call my doctor and make an appointment for the steroids. <---Roid Rage! This is an awesome tournament whether you're doing steroids or not, but if you can get them legally, be sure to get the steroids. Just tell the doctor you have allergies to the Canadian Blue Grass. :p

I'm playing this event for sure. I'm signed up and trying to figure out if I'm driving or flying. Leaning toward a 4 hour flight as apposed to 20hrs of driving. I would like to split a hotel with someone and possible rental car.

Only stipulation...no snoring. Seriously. I'm an insomniac with out a lot of noise.

I know there are a few Texas guys out there that are invited. Just let me know if you are down. If there is someone coming from another state I'm cool with that to. We can always coordinate flights etc...

Hey,
I signed up a while ago! I live out in SoCal. Not Texas but going none the less. There is a group of us going. I'm planning on getting in on Monday night and staying till the following Monday late morning. What are you thinking for going? I havent booked hotel room or car yet but thinking of looking into a suite so we can pack more people in there.
Let me know what you are thinkin.

I plan on getting there Mon or Tues. If there is enough of us pitching in I say let's get a couple rooms to share so if some of us tee off early we can actually sleep. I like to party as much as the next person, but I will be focused on good food and good sleep during this tourney. I actually expect the same from most of us serious golfers so it might be a mute point talking about partying. Really could be a blast getting people together from several states and hanging out between rounds.

Are you driving(assuming not) or flying? Are you planning on getting a rental? We can share the costs for a car for sure. Might have to be some shuttling but should be relatively easy. I'm talking to a few others about the trip so let's keep each other informed if something solid develops.

Text me since we probably both don't check here very often.

Does anybody know of some hotels in this area that are a little cheaper than what's listed on the tournament page. Looking to save in any way possible.

I will be getting a rental car. I know that a bunch of my guys (myself included) from SoCal are getting some floor space at Dawn and Matts house. The number to reach them is on the same page as the hotels. Its super cheap and they have a course on their property! Check it out and see. For a full week the price cannot be beat!

Not qualified yet?

Illiana Open, a-tier, top 20% rounding up and including ties qualify with bumping down for pre-qualified players who finish in the top 20%.

So ummmm...anyone excited for this yet? I know I am, after shattering my throwing arm twice there was a time when I wasn't sure if I was ever going to be able to play a major tournament again. I am definitely happy just to be playing, and I thank god for the opportunity he has given me to join all of you.

With that said, I have no expectation of where I may finish, I only expect to have a lot of fun. I have quite a few friends who are also playing this one and I look forward to spending time with them as well. Don't get me wrong, I have worked hard on my game lately, have planned and prepared properly, so I should play well. But it's not the most important thing. Just playing at all, after what I have had to overcome, should give hope to anyone who is ever in a situation where their disc golf career is threatened by an injury to their throwing arm. If I can do it...

A suggestion for the schedule/pdf for next year, for the qualifying rounds list a last tee off time as opposed to 10-8, i could not find one on the actual site or any of the other social networking sites discraft uses to promote its product. It is very disappointing to get turned away at 4:35 when there is not a last tee off time announced anywhere on site or online.

Awesome tournament with awesome competitors. I had an absolute blast playing the Toboggan course. If you have never been here you need to do whatever it takes to get here. First class event the entire way. Huge thanks to all of the spotters for making play so much easier.

I also want to thank the Lacey's for opening up there house to a bunch of rowdy disc golfers. It goes to show that disc golfers have some of the biggest hearts out there. Opening your home for a week to help out a bunch of loud, drunk, smelly, and foul mouthed disc golfers was more then we could ask. It was greatly appreciated.

Congrats to OFDA club member Walton Satcher on a very solid 4th place finish.

Now Walton has to go be a spotter for Women's Nationals as his reward! :)
