Its time again for the state to come together and present the Texas Womens Championships. My staff and I want to challenge the clubs of <ST1:pTexas</ST1:p to out do each other in the Lady Lounge contest. We will recognizing the winning Lady Lounge at the awards and will provide the winning club with merchandise to better grow their area womens group.
Many have participating in past years and can testify to the enjoyment of doing a lounge.
We also want the area clubs to begin fund raisers during your minis to add to the experience for the ladies. We suggest individuals to host CTPs during minis with the cash buy into the CTP for TWC (we can provide CTPs), run a B.Q. lunch, or throw a fund raiser mini. Get creative help us to help the ladies
We will need to know your commitment to ensure a spot for your club.
So contact Ed Coffey or me.

Brian or Laura,
Will the proceeds from this event stay local and help send LOLOs to the event and for the girly station (which I'd like to help with this year :)) or will it be sent to RR for added cash or tourney expenses?

Scott, the LOLO fundraiser has always been for the LOLO's only.... All proceeds go to our TWC entries and our stylish t-shirts which last count we had 14 women!! rest of the funds go to the girlie station for snacks, water, etc... which we do every year except for last year didn't have enough staff... Usually Jimmy, Bird, Joe Rotan, and Matt MacClain help out but we can always use volunteers to help run it!! That would be awesome if you wanted to help Scott!! It is a great to watch all these women from all over the country competing!! Guys if you can't help with the girlie stations they always need escorts!!
But what Vinnie I think is asking for the clubs to run an additional mini to help out with the tourney funds, which is a great idea...
Hope this helps answer any questions....
Baby :)

The concept of the Girly Station, also now dubbed Lady Lounge is to provide an opportunity for the players of TWC to enjoy some refreshments and creatively unique ways to represent the organization hosting the Lady Lounge. Historically clubs have raffled off baskets, tournament entry giveaways, and club memberships. Every year a contest between the organizations to be the best lounge will be awarded one free entry to the following TWC and materials to help promote the lady golfers in your area. So joins in an awesome time hosting our ladies.<O:p</O:p

Twisted Flyer has teamed up with the tournament directors of the Texas Womens Championship Ed Coffey and Vinnie Miller to bring back the Birdies for Boobies fundraising campaign to raise money for both the 2010 TWC and the Susan G. Komen Foundation. At the 2009 TWC Twisted Flyer had started Birdies for Boobies and donated $1.00 for every birdie the ladies made during the tournament. The ladies raised $150.00 and Twisted Flyer dontated that to the Susan G. Komen Foundation on behalf of all the participants at the TWC. This year we can raise even more money for Susan G. Komen and the 2010 Texas Womens Championship by purchasing SWEEET Innova Inncolor TFR Star Roc's, Star Mako's, and Star Aviar's. All profit from these discs will go to the biggest womens tournament ever the, 2010 Texas Womens Championship and the Susan G Komen Foundation. Help support womens disc golf and finding a cure for breast cancer all in one disc!!! Disc will be available soon!!!
