If you have the time and need more for you guys deal let me know....You can borrow mine! I've got 4 in my back yard these days.(2 are full length poles, so you'd be adding some elevation on a couple of shots)

Or better yet, email me some details before tomorrow's weekly update and I'll include it in there. Maybe we can get some people heading that way to help out with turnout.

btw- Missed you and Jerry this weekend????

I know his wife would rather him step up and start bringing home cash instead of plastic!
Says he's still playing Adv. at the Crush though....

We had nine good baskets this weekend.

Question: Does Patty ever play good at his home course or is it his jinx?

Well normally Patty, and really a lot of CVDGAer's(myself included) treat The Crush weekend as one giant party weekend, and really don't care about how we finish. As long as we have the best time possible.
But as far a Patty's play of late....are you sitting down for this? Patty has stopped drinking, so I think the clear head has done wonders for his game. We'll just have to see if it continues....

Thanks for asking Brandon.

Camping fees are collected year round.
Resident = $6.00 per night per camping unit (tent, RV, vehicle, etc.)
Non-Resident = $12.00 per night per camping unit
Primitive Sites ONLY - Restroom facilities (no showers)

There is also the "Day Use Permit" that will run $3.00 per vehicle for Resident, $6.00 per vehicle for Non-Resident. You can avoid this one by parking near hole 18's basket and walking into the park.

Already have a few players signed up. Remember, there will be a $10 fee for day of sign-ups so make sure you get your registration in early.

Well we got the work day for the Crush behind us. Still got a few pin placements to replace, but all and all the course is in great shape. Lot's of moved teeboxes!

Haven't seen the new alternate 18 yet, but I hear it's good.

Trophies should be done any day, and they are going to be something special. Can't wait for some of you to see what we came up with for them this year. I will tell you they are heavy!

The Crush on the Conch will be here before we know it!!! This is going to be one fun weekend!

Come on weekend!!!!

We played our first singles mini at the lake to start setting our handicaps for the year, think +3 was the best score of the day. That was Eric.(Nick was in Witchita). The course is set up pretty hard right now, not all long, but mostly long for the 1st round of the weekend!

Are you playing in the friday doubles Brad?

Hello fellow disc golfers. I think my directions are sound but you can't beat directions from a local. I'm out of Austin but staying in Abilene. I will be coming up Saturday early early from Abilene to warm up and check out your course.

Much appreciated.

FYI..I'm playing this tourney because I ran into a few cool cats from San Angelo. Nick and Jeremy. They spoke highly of SA disc golf. Last and only time I played there was when there were just wooden posts for baskets.

Coming from Abilene you've got 2 choices, coming in through Bronte, or coming in through winters. I prefer the Bronte route, but both get you here. Once you get to San Angelo follow the loop all the way around town, you'll go a while....might even feel like a circle! You'll take the knickerbocker exit, take a right on kickerbocker. You'll got a ways down that road and come to a big church on the left and what BBQ place on the right, that's Red Bluff. Take a right on red bluff and follow that road all the way to the pay gate(remember you are from Tom Green County if they ask).

Hope that helps....
Write down Mike's phone number just in case you need any help Saturday morning.

Oh, and we actually have baskets now! ;)

Think I am going to save my left arm for the weekend! Got Jeanne's cousin coming in Friday for his first ever tourney...so I might go walk the blues with him Friday.

Nice...that sounds more like local directions. Thanks. Landmarks are always good. And why am I from Tom Green County? Should I wear shades, pull my hat down low, and sink down low as I pass through the gate?

Baskets are good! I just hope my discs like baskets this weekend...

You are from Tom Green Co. because it will get you in the gate cheaper than if you are not from Tom Green Co. Shades, hat low and sunk down is up to you ;)

100+ players here we come!!! Thought we were going to hit that number the past 2 years....looks like there is no doubt we'll get there this year! With 43 spots left, could we actually fill? Doubt it, but you never know....don't wait to much longer to sign up!

Do you guys do raffels to raise money for your disc golf club? If so(or however it helps), I've got 2 DVDs I'd like to donate from Worlds last year.

A buddy of mine played on one of the top cards at WaterWorks in KC. So I've got some cool video of Brad Williamas playing with Climo, Schultz, and Lacastro. All 18 holes of that round and the final 9 as well. It's about 2 hours of footage.

So ready to check out your courses. I've got many DG buddies ready to find out what I thought of the tourney and the courses.

I was actually born in San Angelo. So I guess I'm comming home.

48 hours and counting......

the results are online. (http://www.pdga.com/tournament-results?TournID=9902&year=2010&include_ratings=1)

I'd like to extend a huge thanks to everyone that helped this weekend. I never imagined I'd have to fit 147 players onto two 18 hole courses during my first TD experience!

Looking forward to next year,

Come on 100!!!

WOW, what a weekend.....After hoping we'd hit 100, we end up filling the Crush for the first time ever with 147 players??? Which ended up to be one of, if not the biggest Disc Golf tourney in West Texas. Something none of us could have ever thought was going to happen. We must be doing something right with the CVDGA!

I'd like to thank all of the players that came in from out of town, hope you all had as good of a time as we locals did. The Crush just seems to get more and more fun each year, and you guys support is a HUGE reason for that. Hope to see you all back next year with a couple of friends....we'll figure a way out to get more people in next year!

Also want to thank Mikey for running a great Crush on the Concho so we could all enjoy ourself's on the course. For a first time TD to get hit with this kind of a turnout, I'm sure you might have freaked a little, but you handled it perfectly, and things went as smooth as could be. Also thanks to all the staffers who helped Mikey make it such a smooth run event.

This was a great weekend....and I can not wait till next year's 9th Annual Crush on the Concho!!!!
