Dang! I told Steve to go anything but COTO. lol

Guess I have a reason to break my boycott I made with Olse.... Are there any plans for some rock removal before the event? That is the only think that bums me out with Austin courses.

Anyway see ya'll here and hopefully I can qualify although I have never gotten better than 3rd at Pease.

Oh yes, I remember hearing about that, only I heard a slightly different version....something about clearly being OB. And since when did OB cost three strokes? :)

Nevermind. I'll just mark it as the drama that accompanies top open cards. Hey, did you hear that Brad was clearly OB at PWO but didn't take a stroke. You better keep an eye on him. :)

The shot was 75% OB in my mind what made me upset was that NOBODY could tell me where to take my meter from and that affected the shot a great deal. I played from my disc as a Provisional and would have gotten a 3 while my "meter" shot hit a tree (there was no line) and proceeded to kick left back into the OB.

This was also the round where there was no dry fairway on that hole besides throwing into a grove of trees.

And yes. I know about Brad's issue and I was very happy to beat him there. Not as bad as the "mando" incident in Amarillo though if you ask me although both are shady.

Luckily I saw where you where and you where OB by at least five feet...no question at all...and the offical on the hole had already made the call...and the second shot was just a bad shot...lol

And do not worry about that happening this year....the Matt Hall OB line will be clearly marked...and that shot will still be OB

As long as there isn't a question as to where I need to take my shot from............that was my biggest issue with it since the farther right I went the harder the shot yet there was a good 3-4ft of leeway.

Plus the line Sunday was within 2 ft of where my disc was the day before so 5ft is a stretch.....and it was curved where my disc had been! lol I also was still upset and decided to hit big putt the next day for a 4 stroke swing.

The spotter is not an "official" and the call still has to be made by the group or TD which is what happened.

See you guys at good ole eroded Pease... and I'm sure Olse will break his promise too!

We are looking for a staffer or 2 for the Show this year....Fishead can do the work of 3 staffers but he can not be in 2 places at the same time..remember that staffing any of our events counts as playing towards the bonus...and this year with the new points and bonus system, playing or staffing in more events will really help out at the end...

Start the practice now for the Jerry's Cherries World Record Attempt that will run all weekend

The record is for throwing a disc though a basketball hoop....we will go for 130 feet(to start)
all the proceeds will go directly to The Texas Women's Championships

Can you elaborate on thru the hoop?? on a backboard up high or basketish level and just staight thru, etc.

mitchjustice
Mar 01 2010, 02:22 PM
Off the backboard is the best option....I have made a dozen or so from 90 feet over the last three years... all but one was off the backboard...straight in is very tough(you have to throw very high)

If Russom has other plans....I'll play with ya Jamie. Maybe even two for the day.

This weekend is going to be great! Played the courses today and they look perfect. Some limbs need to be cut on a couple holes. They have grown over and hang down in probably 4 or 5 fairways. It makes the shot tighter, but you'll see when you're standing there looking at a ridiculous gap 300' away. By the way, this year the pond is going to ruin some rounds....it's about five or six feet higher than usual.

Don't know why anything for Lost and Found ever should leave the course. All Lost And FOUND should be left at the TD and Staff's area where the things should go. Maybe next time you can make it easier on everyone by just bringing items to headquarters. Thanks.

In the mean time,.... You took a pair of expensive pants, Hoodie and shirt from one location that was being used by someone whom went back to retrieve them. Of course, they weren't at a nice easy central location, like the pro-shop, to get them back. So now, I guess the question is, When, Where, How and what time?

Sorry for the rant, but this has become very frustrating. :(

You took a pair of expensive pants, Hoodie and shirt from one location (
I carried about 10 lbs of clothing over 24 holes of disc golf, and then left after a terrible round in a hurry and just plain forgot. Had to break camp and get outta Dodge. I told Mitch I had them, and meant to return to the clubhouse with them for the awards, but I left in a hurry and forgot about it. The very expensive pants (and I 'm guessing they're not yours as they aren't annoyingly distracting anytime they leisurely meander through a sightline) are clean, folded and ready to be returned along with everything else. Name the item and method of return and I'll get them to you.
I guess the question is, When, Where, How and what time?
:(
My phone # is plainly visible a few posts north. I'm sorry if my actions have caused anyone any trouble or inconvenience, I can assure you my only motivation for picking up 2 sweatshirts, a jacket, pants and a belt, and 2 hoodies was to return them to their owners.

Sorry for the rant, but this has become very frustrating. :(
