The Atlanta Open was one of the top ten "Richest Tournaments" of the year on the PDGA tour. With only 90 players we were still able to break the top ten. The money is going to be great this year as well. If you are a traveling player or just a player that wants to win some money, go ahead and plan on coming to the Atlanta Open. Check out last years payout.
Two great courses. One is wooded, long, and technical. The other is much longer, placement course, with natural and created OB.
Online registration is avialable at www.eatsleepdisc.com or follow the sign up link at the official Atlanta Open site: www.theatlopen.com
This event has sold out the last five years in a row. Get in now, it is just three months out.

If you find yourself heading up from Florida looking for some golf the weekend before the AO the ADGO is hosting a monthly at one of the "SICKEST" courses around. "Flyboy" disc golf course is located on an incredible piece of private property west of ATL. 27 holes of very well designed disc golf action. The Atlanta Open is going to be held at this course in 2011. Show up early and play in this tournament by checking out more info here: www.discgolfatlanta.com
Hurry up and sign up for the Atlanta Open. As always, the payout is going to be one of the best in the country all year. Check out the website and book your room, sponsor a hole, and preregister.

Come make a run at East Roswell Park, challenging wooded course. Then play Central Park Gold (long, rolling hills, with elevation change). Central Park is going to be the site of Keith Johnson's tournament right before the USDGC. You wont want to miss his event or the Atlanta Open. If you are thinking about playing go ahead and sign up and book a room at the tournament hotel.

http://www.discgolfatlanta.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2285 is the direct link to the ATL OPEN thread - ALL info is in the top/first post.
Rand as always has gone out of his way and over the top to make the visit to the area enjoyable - The new host hotel venue (Hilton Garden Inn) is a great place to stay, with lots of amenities and HOT breakfasts available.
The Central course has been tweaked using the feedback from players as well as the crunching of the scores to give several more duece opportunities which will allow for more scoring variety and separation.
So, come and visit the ATL and check out why the A/O has been year-in and year-out since it's inception THE Event in Atlanta not to miss!

Really looking forward to watching this one. The clubs are making sure the courses are in pristine shape (not hard with these guys, always on top of it!) and Rand will make sure everyone is treated right.
Totally worth the trip and like was said there is plenty of local action to get in on too.
