What's the word on this year's new years day tourney / mini?

thinking about boerne with some temp holes probably a later start than the norm. lets get some chatter. Not going to make it Sunday maybe you can ask the clan and see if there are any ideas

Interesting choice Jay, I met the mayor pro tem of Boerne the other day. He asked me how the area golfers liked the course. Definitely believe he is willing to become DG Mayor #3 right behind Joe and Tom Schoolcraft. Although Joe's title should be something like Mayor Discus Emeritus or something like that. Scott's latin is better than mine maybe he should come up with the official title.:D

I think Boerne would be a great choice for New Years Day mini.

I have (1) really good basket, (1) jank InStep that cathes really well w/ 2 sets of chains, & (2) jank fabric portable baskets you can use. Boerne's great too cause there's all that firewood we could really setup a nice BBQ pit for lunch and staying warm.

i have 2 good baskets now would be nice to maybe get 9 baskets set up out there maybe if you're in town this week we can make a trip out there and scope out some new hole besides the ones we used previously.

I have sick days to burn.
Let me know and I'll help pick additional holes in Boerne, too.

If you are up for a challenge you need to come out to Boerne this New Years day. Start the
year off right with a Houk challenge and a twist of sick new holes.

The great thing about that park is it is really setup well for BBQing. They have huge pitts out there and a lot of good firewood just lying in piles. We could really get a great BBQ going :D.

I talked with Jayson yesterday. He said Round 1 is singles, Round 2 is random draw doubles. Break in between where I'll be providing some coals to grill on but people should bring something to BBQ. Round 1 is at 10AM ... I am guessing that will take 2 hours ... maybe 2.5, so we'll be BBQing around 12:00 or 12:30. That puts round 2 around 1:30 or so.

Except for you Laura ... you'll be expected to just continue playing without a break :). Jayson is such a slave driver :)

I believe there is still a mini planned. I am hoping to be out there at around 7:30 to do some course clean up.
