im going to tell you right now I am playing hot dog division. I have played 3 years in a row and i have only 1 hole victory to show for it. I seem to push alot of big money holes but still waiting for a multi hole win. I have always played at Blackhawk in the past. Should be interesting to see who succombs to the hazards at Centennial.

What are the pin layouts going to be like ??

Nov 23 2009, 10:05 AM
I will offer all of the normal divisions. I will be moving some of the hole from where they are now. They will not all be long. Here is the layout I'm considering, mind you your input will be considered but not debated. 1/3 of the holes will be short.

1. long
2. short
3. Long
4. Long (different tee position than the NT)
5. normal
6. long
7. Long
8. short (mando) (Different tee position than the NT)
9. short
10. long
11. short
12. normal
13. long
14. long
15 middle
16. short
17. long
18 short

As always, I will throw in some greatFREE CTP's and we may use hole 19 as a playoff hole. As some of you may have heard, I have boxed up my entire collection. You can expect to see some of that for your CTP's along with new stock discs.

So come on out, those that have been there before can attest that you will get your monies worth. I always seem to go in the hole on these events but I wouldn't have it any other way.:D

And if any can can kill me a beaver that day, I'll put up $100 bounty. WTH, I'll even put up a $50 ace pot.

Leave "The Beaver" alone Eddie or I'm going to call News 2 Troubleshooter on your butt and see what kind of public publicity that brings you.

I love your take on what DG is all about. No trash cans on the course but we're all about earth, the enviorment, and picking up the litter and God forbid we don't hesitate killing beavers if they screw with our course. :(

"The Beaver" was there first buddy. Why don't you try living in harmony with nature instead of just killing everything that gets in your way? It seems like it would be easier just moving whichever basket is affected.

You're lucky I don't arm "The Beaver" with a shotgun to defend his home turf.

I'd love to see the look on your face when he pops out of the water and blasts a cap in your butt when you're out there destroying his home.

And why aren't you doing the skins at Mohawk like all the previous years?

Owasso is ok but it doesn't offer the challenge or the risk and reward like Blackhawk.

Black is still alittle wet. It will be on the shcedule for the Xmas skins or new years day.

Owasso is ok but it doesn't offer the challenge or the risk and reward like Blackhawk. Maybe not. But it's my event and its 1.5 miles from home. :DEach skins will be at a different course. Why is it that you have a complaint about everyone's events and you play less than Zooc? You run ONE event per year. The minis don't count, besides you have guest Tds for half of those and the players thank you for that. At least half of them start on time.

Besides you won't even be there.

Sorry buddy but you only hurt the one's you love so it's only fair to the Treat's that I pick on your event this week so they don't think I'm singling them out. :)

I've been to all your skins events at Mohawk and it doesn't take much to stand around and take cash and dole it out at the end. I hope you're not counting on that to be the highlight of your event resume. :(

My "one event" would be all that is necessary if everyone were willing to do one of their own. You should take lessons from Duff because other than maybe one of these skins events, I haven't seen an event of your's that brought in more than 40 people.

twoputtok
Nov 23 2009, 11:49 AM
I don't want 100+ at my events. Smaller numbers allow me to do more for those that are there. By the way, last years team event had 72 and my match play had 64 the first year. Those were FULL events.

And you should take lessons from me on how to get a course finished. Xmas lights do nothing for completing your course. Its really not hard to do, you just have to get out of bed on Saturday and Sunday mornings to go work at them, oh and it helps to have friends.

I hope you realize that all of the people you are jumping on now are just going to line up come time for your event.
Your time is coming and I'm going to enjoy watching the look on your face.

What's the matter?

Did you have to sell horse because of Obama?

Was "Obama Care" the reason you had to move from your office into a van down by the river to peddle your health insurance?

I figured surely the city of Owasso would be willing to rent you the shelter at Centennial for a small fee.

twoputtok
Nov 23 2009, 03:24 PM
Well you can get ready also. If you think your employer is going to keep their insurance for you when the government going to offer a plan, you're in for a rude awakening. You'll just be lucky if you're employer keeps YOU.

sschumacher
Nov 23 2009, 04:34 PM
What are you talking about?

My insurance for next year has gone up and covers less already. I don't blame that on Obama. I blame that on you!!!

Considering Oklahoma is ranked # 2 behind Mississippi in the "most fat and unhealthy people" catagory you should sell your business and buy into cemetaries and funeral homes. That's where the real money is.

twoputtok
Nov 23 2009, 04:53 PM
Used to be until Walmart started selling caskets, now the funeral homes are are worried Walmart will put them under.

And you should blame it on Obama. Everytime they mandate that another routine service be covered, then your rates go up. Now they're working so all small employers have to give sick time. Besides your not buying your health insurance to insure your health, you're buying it to insure against a financial catastrophy.

Think about that last statement.....................

sschumacher
Nov 23 2009, 05:08 PM
Doesn't matter what Walmart sells. Marie is going to have me "stuffed" and mount me over the fire place anyway.

That's right. Because deep down inside in places you don't talk about, you need the "Beaver" and you'll never reallize how much you really need the "Beaver" until it's not around and you're all alone with nothing but a Sear's bra catalog to keep you company.

The "Beaver" will get you through times of no DG better than DG will get you through times of no "Beaver".

We're already saving the whales and the polar bears so let's not forget the most important animal of all.

You wouldn't know a "Beaver" if it snuck up and sufficated you in your sleep.

The "Beaver" and the "Snake" are working partners. The "Beaver" dams the creek thus expanding the pond and the snakes living space. In return the "Snake" gives "Wood" to the "Beaver" to build the dam and a home to create little "Beavers".

Then the little "Beavers" go out into the world and create more ponds for other "Wood Toting Snakes".

Normal OB will be in play. I won't know the final layout until Thursday when I go out there to move them. Its what ever hits me at the moment for what positions they will all be in. We can only hope. I am starting to think I'm out numbered. I saw 4 this morning.

Most of you don't know that we had this problem about a year ago and the city hired a trapper. Come to find out, last year they trapped 10 of them and 4 went over 50lbs. The city doesn't have it in their budget for a trapper this year,:( so I'm going to talk to him and see what we can work out.

You tree huggers may think they are just as cute as can be but let me tell you, they are a RODENT! They cause flooding, they take out every tree if left alone. What trees they can't cut down they collar. Meaning they cut a section of bark from around the entire tree. This will cause the tree to get diseased and die. They will continue to destroy every tree along the creek as long as we leave them there. Then in the spring they will give birth to 4-6 more per pair. You do the math.

It is nothing more than an infestation of giant swimming rats.

Some kids stole Mitchell's disc from the creek and ran through the park and off into the neighborhood. Other than that there were some huge shots and some spit putts that made for winners and losers. Hopefully even the non skin winners felt like they had a great time.

Let's see BEST DRIVE of the day would have to be Billy Juby on hole 6 with a great turnover over the pond just clearing the edge to within 5 feet of the basket.

BEST PUTT of the day would go to Billy again on hole 8 from 40+ to push.

BEST DONATION TO THE DAY would be hole 11 with 3 missed putts(two bad bad bad spits) giving our host of the day DAVE WISE 6 "unearned skins".

Dough, I would have agree about FurDog, HUGE PUTT! I know you were walking up to that hole counting your money. I'd almost bet he took more pride in spoiling your glory than winning any skins himself.:D

And, you do need a Cro. I told you how to throw it and it was dead on just like I said it would be.

No Hinds there were two Jeremy Taylors, Jeremy never switched divisions. The problem happened when you came up and switched at the last second while groups were teeing off, I had everything finished and ready to go play, then your name didn't get removed from the list you had signed up on before you switched, since it was at the last second.

I am quite sure the word "NO" is in your vocabulary, you were still doing everything in the truck and messing with cards and money when I asked, I told you I'd do whatever you want but I just felt I had a better shot in the steak division, so sue me.

Still had fun though !!!

Dam Hinds. What is it with you? Always at the center of the controversy. :(

If you're not doing it at one of my events you're doing it at someone else's.

And Duff.....You have officially been "Fur-Nied". :)

If I can't take home any skins then I sure ain't going to let you take any home. You're going to have to live with that fact for the rest of your life.

All in all even though I still prefer Blackhawk when it's dry for skins, I had a good time and it was worth the $20 just to see those guys take off with Mitchells disc. Thanks Dave for providing the mid-round criminal drama. I'm sure that was probably something you've been wanting to see happen to Mitchell since all the way back to the early days when he was dominating you on the course. :D

I don't know how much you paid them to do that but let me know next time and I'll pitch in a few bucks. All you new and upcoming TD's should take note of Dave's insight and the criminal and dastardly imagination he brings to his events. :)

I didn't see a single beaver when I was out there but I would recommend the city plant some pot in that area. That way the beavers will smoke it, lay around and be too lazy to do anything. It's the most humane solution and it is PETA approved. :D

Had I said no, you just would have pouted the whole round. I didn't even post what the problem was until you felt the need to tell me where I went wrong and as usual you didn't know what you were talking about.

I have a solution to this problem. For the next skins event, NO one will be able to see who is playing in what division. You will just have to make a decision as to how much money you want to play for. I will tell you how many are in the division but for who is in the division, it shouldn't matter, its skins.

If you want to know who is playing where, then just ask around or wait to see who is on your card. Sorry but there is nothing more aggrivating than trying to sign people up and several just want to hang around until the last minute to see where they want to go, so that I have a rush of sign ups 3 minutes before time and then after cards are made have 4-5 more people that want to change divisions. Not going to happen next time!

The next event will start as close to 1:00pm as possible and sign ups WILL close at 12:50. No exceptions, unless you call ahead. I will announce a 5 minute waring that sign ups are getting ready to close.

So be it. I have just come to the conclusion that if I'm not going to display them anymore, what good are they doing anyone. No on can see them and they will just be in storage getting old. So, I might as well try to put them in hands that will appreciate them as much as I did. Trust me its not the money end of it, I just sold a duplicate Indian Inn color from the 2006 Am Worlds for $30. Why? Because they will appreciate it. I'm not trying to make a killing on these. If I could get my money back, I would be happy.

I keep hearing certain players demand more events at Hunter. So, I thought this would be a good time to have one there, now, those certain individuals tell me they can't be there. Something to do with Christmas or family BS of some kind.

It just happens to be the furthest Tulsa course from my house. Had I know they couldn't be there I would have had it at Black also.

The New Years Day skins will continue the tradition of having it at BlackHawk. Even if its cold, that course can give you some protection from the weather.

I think I can make it, but are you really that shocked that people go out of town on the holidays? ur statements above are lame.

sschumacher
Dec 22 2009, 10:41 AM
There are two vacations people take during the holidays.

One is the vacation they take from work.

The other is the vacation they take from their relatives.

24 hours with the relatives on Christmas day is enough.

I've actually played on Christmas day before and still managed to hang with the relatives so if you're going out of town then fine. But the day after shouldn't be a problem unless you get dragged to go shoping for sales at mall by your significant other. Even then it should be over by 11am.:D

Well there's something special about Blackhawk on Christmas day or maybe it was just being out in the woods.

It's almost like all the animals know what's going on.

Playing Christmas day also gave us the time to walk off the turkey dinner.

I'm not sure she was that hot on coming out in the cold to walk around in the woods though. It was almost like Charlie Brown draggin a resistant Snoopy around but that was one Christmas day that will never be forgotten. Marie looked like a sumo wrestler with all the layers of coats and jackets she wore.:D

The coveted 01 Roc is now in the hands of it's new owner.;)
I guess it was just meant to be. This person told me 3 years ago, someday that disc would be his. I guess he was right. I think it has found a very deserving home.

While I may have gotten a little less than a couple of cash offers I had, I was able to get something I had been wanting and call it a Christmas present from my boys. Since times are tight, my family didn't have to spend $250+ for a gift and I got to trade 1 disc for my present.

Good deal for all involved.:)

How great is disc golf when 1 disc can cover Christmas?
And a bonus is, I sold 4 other discs for $100, two other people are happy for Christmas now.
The "eyes of texas" inncolor, tribal roc, dealers xmas inncolor disc and a ce t-bird.

Never heard one negative comment about anything. After the match the pond on 10 looked like it had about 9 discs on it.

Thanks to all that came out and every one needs to thank John Barton for helping me get all the pads cleard for you. If you had seen them that morning, you really would have been impressed. A big thanks for drinking all the beer I brought also, 3 cases gone and a bottle of Crown.:D

I left my katana until this morning so the ice would be thicker but by the time I got there at 8:30 it was already gone. It was there at dark last night. Hutch if you have my disc I want it back.

Atta boy Gary! You better watch out for this kid. If I could have his game off the tee instead of mine I'd be in much better shape!

That really sucks. Was that the disc that was about 65 out from the Bridge ?? You put in alot of time effort cash and good Karma putting that event together. Hopefully someone only has good intentions and is going to give it back. Not everyone is active on the board. Think Happy thoughts !
