Nov 02 2009, 06:50 PM
Sponsorships - The Las Vegas Disc Golf Club will be donating $1,000 to the tournament. The Syndiscate as donated $500! The 2009 Las Vegas Halloween classic donate $500. At $2,000 so far.
But wait...there is much, much more!!!
East-Coast Innova has approved 120 INNColor discs. (We did sell all 150 INNColor discs last year!). Same design, but three slightly different color schemes. (Go to PDGA on-line sign up page for one of the INNColor images.) Will sell them for $30 each, locally. (I know this may seem pricy, but we did sell all 150 last year for $30 each, and have around 300 players coming to our tournament and over 100 local club members!) All proceeds, over $2,000, goes towards the tournament. No on-line sales, but a few may be listed on EBay.
West-Coast Innova has approved 200 CFR Glow discs and 50 TFR discs. These 250 discs will have a slightly different hot-stamp logo than then DX, Pro, and normal Champion order. Will sell these for around $20 each. All proceeds, over $2,000, goes towards the tournament. For sales, go to www.discgolfvlaues.com and local sales.
West-Coast Innova has ALSO approved the 2010 GCC to be the ONLY tournament to receive their test-run Pro Grooves! (Thanks to Dave Dunipace and Mark Molnar!!!) The Pro Groove turned out to be more stable than the Champion and Star Groove, so likely will not be ran again in the Pro pastic for quite some time...if ever. We get around 200. Will sell for $15 or more. (We are the only guys to get these, so you can't get them anywhere else!!!) All proceeds, over $1,000, goes towards the tournament. For sales, go to www.discgolfvlaues.com and local sales.
We also expect West-Coast Innova to send us the Diamond Support Package due to our very large order. This adds another $1,000!!!
But we still aren't done! We ordered lots of hot-stamped Champion, Pro, and DX discs with a second GCC 2010 logo (slightly different than the CFR Glow and TFR logo), and much of that proceed will also go towards the GCC payout...another $500 or so.
Add this all together, and we're around $8,500.
Many hole sponsors available at $40 each. (I know this is more than last year, but you get it posted for two weekends this time!!!)

On-line sign ups now linked to the PDGA Tour tab/schedule.
Ams will definitely play one round a day of 27 holes via tee-time. (Or 54 total holes, similar to playing 3 rounds of 18 holes over a two-day period.) There will be at least one island hole! (This is an A-Tier event, so lets make the course just a little tougher!)

Had our first drop out. Sam Ferrans is affraid to be beat by me at my home course, so will see how bad I kick his rump at the Memorial. But, Sam and Hero Discs came through with some pretty cool donations for the Am raffle and Pro Silent Auction.
Speaking of the Silent Auction, go to www.lvbagtag.com for updates. Bids are coming in every other day. More items will be added this weeked.
Also, two more Escorted by a Pro players added (soon). Steve Wisecup (or the Best **** Old Man You Ever Played With) and Cary Trotter (Vegas's local hero) are selling themselves. If you win Steve, I'd bet he'd buy you a lap dance at his (or Vicky's) favorite establishment!
Player packages coming together. Raffle items up to over $1,000 or so in items. Silent Auction is going to rock.
You are a fool if you miss this little A-Tier event!!!

Might want to try Intermediate (MA2), unless you beat Bamba at his home course (which I heard EVERYONE can do), then Advanced (MA1). Any of our SoCal boys signed up already for the GCC so you can see what division they are signing up for?
P.S. Really doesn't matter what division you play because EVERYONE wins at the GCC.

I left Northern California mid January, played a tourney in LA, played a tourney in Phoenix an' now I'm here in Vegas for the GCC. Jeff, can you please tell me if Blue Ox will have the tee times available and posted Thursday night?
I don't arrive until Thursday evening and I'm guessing that being in Grandmasters - That the block of time will be early morning tee times, but you know what they say about assuming.
I will NOT have free internet access, and in OCT it cost me 11 bucks to get my tee times from the Hotel we were at, as they don't do FREE internet time in the business office anymore.
Sorry to be a pain, but it would be MUCH appreciated if you could let me know.

Martin - that is the one thing that was nice about Masters -staying up late with the family and still be able to sleep in, have breakfast at the buffet and still get to the course in plenty of time for the 10:30-11AM tee times.
Now I'm prepping for it to be just like a work week as with Vegas and the Memorial I'll be in the 7:30-8AM tee times which means getting up at 6 AM like I do every day now. :)
