Since I have been getting back very few lost discs, I tried something new that worked.

I wrote my name and address in large, easy to read, regular postal format directly on my disc together with the note "If found, please drop in a mail box. Recipient will pay postage due." The naked disc arrives at my doorstep with $2.15 postage due.

I test mailed a crappy disc, and just got back a Teebird I was really bummed about losing.

I always try to return a disc with a name and phone number. It's fine if the disc belongs to someone you know and see all the time, but in other situations it can turn into a hassle. I think that is one of the big reasons so many discs do not get returned.
