I'm planning to attend... been years since I've done one of Joe's events.
Something to think about... I heard on the radio that the Dallas Cowboys organization is doing some sort of flag football thing at Gateway Park on the 7th. I don't think it will interfere with us, but traffic/parking might be an issue. Get to the tournament early :)

May be a good idea to spread cards as far apart as possible to minimize backups... Which will still happen anyway out there.
What about hole 14 (I think) and the fallen tree that completely blocks the basket from the fairway?

Is this one or two rounds on sat.????

looks like 2 rounds Sat @ gateway. sunday's tournament is 2 rounds @ lake park.
BTW - if anyone is coming from the northern parts of town in the morning, don't forget that the area near Texas Motor Speedway will be hopelessly clogged with rabid NASCAR fans. find an alternate route.

What a weekend. Gateway Park... I appreciate those of you that chose to BRAVE this monster, it's mosquitos and all the other craziness that park has to offer. We had a splash out of the EDGE free discs for 5 years Hole in One and good times had by all. It was nice to see JD... the ever consumate professional come out and get the W as well as spend a bunch of time hanging with the AM's. Thanks to FUNKYTOWN's finest Brandon, Michael, Heidi, PJ, Brad, Pat and who could forget BIG buck! You guys have a great thing starting up in Funkytown I look forward to hanging with you all more.
The Lake Lewisville event was as always FUN. Old Man and the City have a great thing going for disc golf there. Although mother nature flooded the alt. pad for 3 we can all rejoice in the fact there will be drinking water next year! I applaud the close call shots for the $10,000 g's. It was nice to return to the park and host a big money hole in one in honour of my great friend and TD Mentor Chris Himing. As Tom and I said Texas golf is better for have known him. I imagine those of you that won the amazing amount of stuff Chris sent over from Australia are just as stoked. It was nice to see SKEETER and MIKE throw aces in round two, I encourage all of you to check out the course record holders game... silent and deadly. It was nice to see Tom, Joe, Gary and all of my Texas friends. It's been a while and I am glad I was able to enjoy it.
I know there were many options for tournaments, NASCAR and a few other shennanigans in town this weekend... Thanks for choosing to keep it TWISTED with us.

i just realized these were two separate events...i would've played one of them if I would've known that...when I originally saw the flyer I assumed it was one two-day tournament spread over two courses...could not play both days so I ignored it.
I wondered if alot of other people thought the same thing?
