Anyone know the status on when Freedom will be re installed? Is it still planned for 9 holes?

Just read the August meeting notes posted regarding Freedom. Is it still on target for an October opening? Will these be new baskets or 9 of the original baskets?

Drove by the park yesterday and saw some of the baskets in. They are still working on the parking lots and a construction fence is up. Maybe another month we can play.

I talked to the City a few days ago and I was told that the Park should be open Early to Mid January.

They are waiting until the ball fields are done before they open the park, mid to late January 2010.

Don't know specifically about the dg course. I'm never in that part of town.

Drove by there today and the park is open.

My son & I played this afternoon. I really like the first 3 holes, nice use of the mesquite trees. There are no tee signs so bring a map with you.

Only issue I saw were the tee pads, they are 4' x 4' square, maybe smaller.

They used the best of the 9 original baskets. It would be nice if they would install a practice basket or two just north of tee #1.

I added Freedom to the PDGA Course Directory today.

Played 3 rounds this morning. We started at 8:00, park was filling up at 10:00. Should plan on playing early as before.

Course is a lot of fun.
