Just wanted to let people know that we will be holding our 5th (I believe) annual Halloween Tournament at Knob Hill on Halloween night at 7:30.
After getting fed up with the LED lights that we have taped to our discs for the past few years, from them falling off, turning off in flight, and changing the flight characteristics, I have decided that I am going to order 50 Glow discs and 25 Portable black lights to have for sale at the event.
I'm just curious if I were to purchase these, would anyone be interested. I am thinking I will be able to sell the light with batteries and a champion glow disc for $25 - $30. Let me know if you would be interested.

Alas, my friends have a party every year, so I've never made it to the glow round, but I thought I'd share what I've done in the past to play glow golf when I didn't have glow discs.
At Wal Mart, they sell these glow in the dark fishing lures that are basically tiny glow sticks (like an inch long) that you can tape to the top or bottom of your disc. Use packing tape, and do it when the disc is perfectly dry, and I've never had trouble with them coming off. They're also much smaller than any LED lights I've seen and don't really seem to affect the discs' flight much. You can only really use them once, but they're not too expensive, and really, how often do you get the chance to glow golf anyway (alas)?
Just thought I'd share. Have fun, everyone!

we have used those fishing lures every year so far. They are nice, but they do affect the disc flight tremendously. Made my sidewinder so flippy all I could do was roll. Also, I have seen the tape come off on quite a few as well as the lights turning off when they hit trees. Thus the reason for wanting to use actual glow in the dark golf discs this year.
The black light charges them up without blinding people with a camera flash.
Anyway, all that Innova has is San Marino and Ontario glow rocs right now to be custom stamped. I still might get them.

Hello, I was just wondering about this today. Does this always happen ON Halloween? I was interested in seeing "Dracula" either the 30th or 31st, but didn't want to miss the glow golf.
Also, I would buy a glow disc and a light. Would most folks just use one disc for the whole round then?

This will be the fifth "Huckin' Halloween" tournament and we've always held it on Halloween. Otherwise, it wouldn't really be a Halloween tournament. :p
As for the lights, I've never had a problem using the fishing lure LED lights. When taped properly/securely to the top of a disc there should little, if any, issues for the player. I've always used clear packing tape and I've seen other players use duct tape which is even stronger. The key is taping the light to a dry disc and ensuring the tape is attached with no wrinkles or curled-up edges. The tape has to be flat as possible.
I have seen the LED switch off after the disc hit inside a tree or bush. One of those odds things you don't see very often. This is where the actually glow disc has an advantage over taping an LED light to one's disc. Of course, if one was to tape two LED lights to their disc, I'm willing to bet both lights would not shut off... :)
I can't wait to see this year's Jack-O-Lanterns!

Agreed with Jerry here. Tape the lights to your disc earlier in the day when they are completely dry - if you try to do it at night before you start there is usually some humidity on the disc.
Also, other than some air drag and reduced distance of about 10% which is marginal at best, I have not seen LED lights affect the flight characterisitics of a disc. It certainly has not made any disc of mine severely more understable or overstable.
Because of the reduced distance with drivers, I typically throw a Classic Roc for glow golf with better success. Glow golf usually isn't about massive distance, driving the polehole, and scoring a lot of deuces - it's typically more about fairway placement and not taking bogeys. I have shot my best rounds in glow golf using a Classic Roc on almost every drive over other glow golf rounds where I tried to use a driver off the tee on most holes.
