I believe the main sponsor is Popeye's. Star Ontario Rocs for at least 100 people in the players packs. Everyone involved realizes that this is close to Okie Dubs, and that might cause some golfers to opt out of this or that. They weren't trying to step on any toes, but in order for DG to grow...more tournaments are bound to come up on available weekends.

starts at 6 but i m not sure if doubles is at griffin or lions, as it has been at griffin for the pas month and half, but both courses are next to each other so if your at one and dont see a ton of people just go to the other.

He thinks he has to play Am World Dubs in 2010 or some B.S. like that. Guess us advanced dudes will have to get beat up by Bubba a little bit longer. Good playing with you Bubba, but seriously......MOVE UP
Whoa whoa hold on now, my rating is 955 and im sure thats an advanced players rating!
The suggested rating for someone to move up to Pro is 970.....im 15 points away from that!
After I play Am world doubles with Cody and play 1 more Am Worlds I will move up!

First of all I want to say that I had a great time and I can't wait untill next year. But, I was wondering why we have yet to see our ratings for the Intermidiate division and below. So, I sent a message to Dannie Stacey and this is the reply I got back.
"According to the information below, each pool needs at least 5 propagators to get a rating. Your pool only had 2 players that met the requirement to be a propagator."
From the PDGA website:
How are ratings for an event calculated?
The scores thrown by propagators each round are used to calculate the SSA rating for a specific course layout. A propagator is a current member whose rating is over 799 and is based on at least 8 rounds. As long as there are 5 propagators playing a course layout, ratings can be calculated. The average rating of all propagators will equal the average rating they get for the round - always. If the same course layout is used more than one round, the scores from multiple rounds will be used to determine an overall SSA, as long as the individual round SSAs come out close to each other, so everyone gets the same rating for the same score on the same course. If the SSAs are significantly different, likely due to varying wind conditions, the round ratings will be calculated separately. If a propagator shoots more than 60 points below their rating, their score will not be used in the SSA calculations.
So, I am posting this to see what everyone else thinks about this. I payed to play and have fun, and I did. But what else is suppost to come with that entry fee? That's right a rating, I am crossing my fingers that sometime soon we will see the ratings show up.

... those other Players (or propagators) don't have to be "in your same division" ... just playing the Same-Course , Same-Conditions , Same-Time ...

From what I gather, there are only 2 players with a rating of over 799 based upon at least 8 rounds in Int and under which makes the TD's reply correct
it's just the way the math works to keep the ratings accurate,
if the A pool played the same courses/tees/pins that the B pool played without signifigant weather change, the PDGA may be able to do ratings for the B pool from the A pool ratings (once the ratings go official, at the next rating update) the automatic upload can not handle this, it must be tweaked when the ratings go official
you should contact Chuck Kennedy or the PDGA Office to see if they have a solution, they will be able to answer the question better than most of us

Evan, That would be correct had there not been 15 other people in Toby's division overall. Toby is correct in the fact that the whole "hype" to the sanctioned event is the rating and the rules benefit. I do know that this event was supposed to be run by Danny Stacey (whom never contacted his coordinator) but was dumped on Jason Abeda about a week before the event. Since I was not there I don't know why Toby would end up in a pool that does not count for ratings. I do know it needs to be fixed and worked out prior to those TD's holding anymore sanctioned events. The PDGA and your State Coordinator are always here to help avoid these situations.

One more thing, I think I understand why we didn't get a ratings for our rounds. Day 1: A pool, Started at coloniel then ended at lyons, B pool: started at griffen then went to coloniel. Day 2: A pool played griffen and B Pool: played lyons. So, the only round for the B Pool that could have an SSA Rating would be from coloniel on day 1 2nd round at coloniel. It all came down to not thinking the two days out. I think if they could have had the A pool come back to griffen instead of lyons on day one it would have worked out that we would have recieved our ratings.
