I was doing some looking around on the site today for info on the PDGA BOD. It may be just me but I found it extremely hard to impossible to locate certain info.
1) A readily available list of all members of the Board their current term dates and their specific duties.
2) I can find nothing that explains how the ED is selected or his responsibilities on the board.
3) What other personnel are currently working for the board as appointees or contracted consultants?
4) I see Conflict-of-Interest statements for Board members except the ED. Is he not required to submit a COI form?
I am going to continue to search the Documents section but can anyone point me in the right direction?

No, looking through the documents is the way to find what you are seeking.
Any luck yet?

The ED is an employee, not a BOD member. That is why his COI is not posted. He answers to the BOD. The BOD answers to the membership which is why their COI is posted.

OK. That is a start.
Now can someone tell me what his duties are?
How it is that the person that is acting as our spokesman and decision maker isn't an elected officer?
I have seen the ED make some recent decisions that will leave their mark on the PDGA and local disc golf for a long time. Shouldn't a person making those kinds of statements and decisions be an elected official?
As members, what is our recourse if we are unhappy with his performance?

There are a number of reasons for this arrangement. [speculation on] First, the BOD is a volunteer position that can be done on an ad hoc basis, the running of this organization in total is not. It takes a full time, i.e. paid, individual to do the job. One can argue that we should be allowed to vote for this paid position, after all, we vote for our politicians, but the BOD is in a position to examine a larger pool of data, and the individual, in a extensive fashion, thus ensuring the best candidate. It is sort of like the staff that supports the President, we don't get to vote on them because the President has an agenda, he brings in a staff that he thinks can best address that agenda. The same goes here, we vote for a BOD that supports a certain agenda, then they hire an ED to implement that agenda, or they direct the ED to accomplish that agenda. [speculation off]
I'm not sure what remarks you are thinking about but the ED has several missions, one is to support the organization and it's members. I've not seen Brian take any positions that would be contrary to this organization. That includes the decisions he's made that I strongly disagree with. Brian is good at his job. Take for example his support of John D. It is polite, direct, professional, and well written. At the time of the incident it was the best thing to do and well thought out.
I may not have agreed with it, but I could see the logic and professionalism in it.
This organization has had two EDs, both knew the sport extremely well, both were highly organized leaders who took good directions from and supported the BOD. Even Brian H., who has a shorter patience for the baloney that happens here, waS very good at his job, despite the things written on this site.
I commend the BOD for their selections of these two and think it is a clear indication that the process works well.

Sounds suspiciously like an anti-PDGA agenda. Where's LaGrassa with the muzzle?

What is the job of the ED, go take a look at the Pat G. statement of the oranization. Think about what the goals of such an organization is, then ask yourself if Brian is addressing those goals, because that is his job, guiding this sport and the PDGA in their growth. I don't think that needs to be written down because, like the job of the President, accomplishing that changes with time. BTW - some feel Brian is doing a good job, some feel no. That is a reflection of personal goals and desires more than anything the ED or BOD has done. This organization has unprecedented growth relative to similar types of organizations and it increases it's services every year. I'd say they do a pretty slick job even if much of what they deliver isn't of interest to me. I can recognize good value when I see it.

As members, what is our recourse if we are unhappy with his performance?
You can complain on the discussion board.
You can contact the ED and express your concerns.
You can contact board members and express your concerns.
You can vote for candidates for the board whose view more closely match yours.
You can offer yourself as a candidate for the board.
