Just posting this to see who wants to play in the 2009 Can-Am cup.

I already am playing for West Virginia, and the reason I am posting this is because I have been asked by numerous teams to play. SO I figure there must be some empty spots out there to be filled.


And I believe the Brewery team will be led by Gibby and Julie. So perhaps they need some players.

So......who wants to play? Put your name down on here, and we can get you on a team or make you the captain of a team.


This year EVERY team needs a girl. So that is the best place to start building your team.

There has been some rumor that Team Whatisit? Will be running it back in the 2.0 form of Team What it is? KB, Brian Grace, Teresa, McMillan, Bonazza, and myself? Let's decide if we are going to do this or what? Makes sense I think that we give everyone the option of reenlisting before deciding any other strategy.

I am 100% committed to going again. This got me hooked on tournament disc golf.

Word is KB is not playing. Lori can't play. I am not on WV. And NCB is sending in money today.

Team Schenley is also down a man (two, if KB is out for sure... I knew he was iffy for health concerns) as Brian Grace is unavailable for the Can-Am Cup weekend. Brian leaves some large shoes to fill in the Open division, but if anyone thinks he's up for the challenge, let us know!

I am actually back on North Country Brewery team for a few reasons. But NCB and I are both very happy to be partners again. So we have 4 of our 6 original members.

KB is not 100% out, but is having some doubts.

So perhaps Speaker is available for a team. He never gave a definite to Matt, but if so, he is a hell of a player that can play open or master. I wanted him back on my team, but Carl already committed. So, that is where it stands.

I know Josh Smith from WV might be looking for a new team as WV kept losing players.

KB let me know that he's in. Until I hear from him that he is not, I will assume that he is still in. We still need one open player - I asked Speaker via facebook, so let's see what he says.

Hey Sandalbagger, I sent an email to GB yesterday about the Cup as we had to cancel our team for this year's event. With a fund-raising opportunity in Ashland, KY that same weekend I have to go with our club's decision to go there and not host a Can Am team.

We definitely need to fund our 2009 PVDGC event Pro and Am Purses ($1000 for Open/$500 for Am's respectively) and pay for our USDGC state spot. Going to Ashland will give us this opportunity. We will definitely field a team in 2010! I hope you all have a great time at Brown's Farm!

I like the fact that Lori is doing well in two divisions. I spoke with Eric and you do not have to be present at the finals in Pinafore to collect. Although he does prefer it. I will probably go. It's really nice in St. Thomas. Just don't take your elephant. They have a history.

Good thing NCBC whooped on TOSS so you guys could make the gold medal round.

NCB won the brewers cup and was only 1/2 point out of 5th place. Finishing 7th.

Good Job NCB for bringing the best beers known to man!!!

By the way...Team TOSS probably didn't clean the Cup once since they won it last year. The thing looked pitiful! Now that it's back in Da Burgh we'll have to clean it up and make it look presentable for when we drop it off at the Jimmy Stewart Museum!
