The flyer states that registration deadline is the 12th and "No day of will be allowed".
In order to have as many players as possible the deadline will be extended.($5 late fee will apply.) Day of registration will be allowed.
There's SoCal players registered from most areas, so carpooling might be the answer.

It's official, I'm signed up for the Shark Tooth. Looking forward to play these two great courses and will be rooting for our departing Chris Wymer to win the final 9 in AM1.

Would love to see Wymer take AM1 up there, but don't you know that us saying this puts extra pressure on him? He puts enough on himself to begin with! Respect the other players in the division, let the boy go out and play, and here's to hoping he makes it into the final 9.

Rocky and all involved, thank you for putting on the Shark Tooth. The mtn course was absolutely a blast, glad I was in the field that got to play it in the morning! Had so much fun on this course, we ended up going back to hole 7 after the final round and unloaded our bag shooting down to hole 8. Flats were very challenging, we need more challenging courses like this in San Diego. I have plenty of good pics of the course and when my computer decides to start working, I can post pics. See ya at Casitas.

hey party people, great pics posted!
just want to point out that even though Bako is a hike and a half for me from SD, i would CONSIDER it if you had the tourney during a REASONABLE time of year. i know the central valley well enough to know most people simply wont go there during the summer for FUN (90+degrees = not fun). what about a tourney sometime november-april when it is not so thermo nuclear hot?
just a thought :)

The weekend of the STO was hotter than normal.(right now it's in the low 80's) The heat did deter from the enjoyment of the Mtn. during the 2nd round. I played on the Mtn. in the heat on the leader card with Musick, Rico, and Saab and was pleased to see them playing our courses. I believe they still had FUN saying they'd all be back. Despite the heat and the C-Tier status.(We could've been B) Bako has the heat, SD has the crowds. ( I like Morley, but wouldn't trade the heat for the crowds). The guys in the pics thought it would still be FUN to hike back up to the Top of the World(East Side) after thier rounds and empty their bags in the heat.
Bako already hosts an event in March during the Central Valley Series.(107 players last yr and mostly different players than the STO) We will also host the CVS finals in 2011. The spring is definately the best time to play these courses. Those golden hills in the pics are all green covered in colorful wild flowers. There's a great riverside camp ground 2 miles from the courses at Ming Lake.During spring or fall it's only 11 bucks!
Next yr the STO will be held the 1st weekend of Oct. when the temps in the low 80's.
Our tourny capacity is 144. Next yr we may need people to CONSIDER playing so we don't have any fivesomes. With all the events piled up and deciding to do our 1st sanctioned event 2 months before, we all had a REASONABLY good time.
Good luck to all those playing in the SVO. I'll see ya's at the CC or the SoCal Championships. PEECE!

Rocky, this was a great beginning to the Bako events and I look forward to playing these courses in the future. I had so much fun at the Mtn course that I had to take charge and push everyone to go back up the hill and unload our bags, what a view to watch the discs fly. I threw a DGA Aftershock (in the pic) and it went 100% straight all the way down to the barn. I still have dreams of throwing shots from the top there and if you guys have an event in the Spring again for the Central Valley series, I'll be there.
A little bit more help (volunteers/spotters) and sponsor dollars will make this a great B-tier event, and if you guys can make it into a two day event, I'm sure more players will be willing to come out. Espicially if we can camp two miles away for $11/night, are you kidding!!! You will definetely attract more San Diego players and I will help encourage players to come up next year. (tough this year with EOTC two weeks before, and SVO one week after STO). I think having the STO in October would be a good idea. It would also be a blast to play at least 3 rounds, and then watch a final 9 with the pros. You guys have two awesome courses there, and I could see the next STO become a huge successful B-tier event. Good job this year and I'll be posting more pics of the lower course later this week.
