Just in case anyone cares about a little tournament in VT ....... 90 player max .... probably will be no more than 35 MPOs playing ...... not a PDGA event but paying a minimum of $1800.00 to the top scoring Pro. $1800 for the best score. Thats a minimum. There are a number of interesting additions to the purse ... bountys for course record, an extra $100 for each 1000-rated pro in the field (up to 6, we have 1 so far) I haven't seen too many other tournaments anywhere with those sort of numbers. Just thought somebody might think they could make some money by playing well. All the way up there in VT tho ....... such a long way. Pre-reg is in the first post.

As many of you may not know .... for each 1000-rated Male that pre-registers the Kingdom Open Ole has added $100 to that person's divisional payout (max of 6) He had also set a bar of 930-rated Female players for the same bounty (same max of 6). Ole has now re-counted the rating at which he will toss $100 into the division to include all female players rated at 900 or better.

So to re-cap ...... for each 1000-rated Male or 900-rated female that registers for this tournament Ole will increase the payout of those players divisions by $100 (a maximum increase of $600 is the cap). Seems pretty fair to me. This on top of an all ready guaranteed $1800 payout to the top scoring pro. Plus scoring bonuses for hot rounds etc . The only question might be ........

For WHAT are you waiting to register for this event?

We now have 2 1000-rated players in MPO guaranteeing a minimum $2000.00 payoff to the Pro winner if they come from the open division.

We also have 2 900+rated women signed up which bumps up the FPO pot by another $200.00.

That sounds like real money to me. You?

It is now time to begin the official non-pro waitlist for the Kingdom Open. We have filled 45 AM spots (congrats Nick Symz.), are holding 4 more Jr spots, leaving a remainder of 40 Pro spots, 22 of which are filled.

So .... to re-cap .......ALL AM registrations from this point forward will go directly onto a waitlist. If any spots remain open as of midnight, July 25 ..... the names from this waitlist will automatically be plugged into the remaining spots in the tournament. If you register as an AM and do NOT get into the K.O. you will receive a full refund of your registration fee after July 25.

There are currently 18 pro spots left in this tournament.

In keeping with the prohibition on out-of-state firewood in Vt Parks and National Forest campgrounds, Do Not Bring Firewood Into Vermont!!

Asian Longhorned Beetle and Emerald Ash Borer are serious pests that are not in Vermont yet. It's probably just a matter of time, but I wouldn't want North Calais to be a vector point. The adults can emerge from tunnels the larva dug in trees that were cut for firewood or pallets, etc. We'll have some local wood around for campers at NC.

Also --- please sweep off and out your tents (golf bags too) if you've been previously camping in tick-country. They tell me there are ticks in Central Vermont now, but in the 30 years I've been in the woods here I've never had one. Please don't bring them in!

Thanks!

Ole

We are now down to just 9 Pro spots being held in this tournament until tomorrow,Sunday, July 25 at midnight. Then the doors will be open to anyone paid and waiting on the waitlist. Then we'll see how many spots are left. (As of this moment there would be 4 remaining spots).

So for any pro players that are considering competing for the top prize of $1800 ...... Now might be a real good time to register for the Kingdom Open.
