I need to clarify something I posted earlier:

There will be a cut prior to the final 9 for the Pro divisions. The top half of the field, including ties, will play the final 9.

Also, this is not a safari 9, these will be standard length holes.

I am sooooo glad I have weekends off now so I can play LOSO. I really hated missing it last year.:(

Any talk of possibly getting a "Host Restaurant"? I know it sounds weird but think about it. After the round there would be a place where everyone could go to eat dinner and hang out. Some restaurants would even give 10% back to the club if we asked.

Red Robin did this for our church. We went on a specific night and brought a voucher that was handed out at church the sunday before. It worked out great everyone ate together had a good time. And the church made $80.

I have been asked a lot about ams who are thinking about playing pro divisions but do not want to take cash and relinquish their am status, with Worlds coming up.

LOSO will not have a trophy only option, but we will pay those ams in merchandise at retail value in lieu of cash.

What's the deal on 11A, 11B, & 11C? All are playable from their original tee box again. Will we be using those tee boxes?

Played Live Oak today and noticed some trees were removed and lots of trimming done. The tree that had the "mando" sign is not there anymore on Hole #13. Is there no mando on that hole or will a new sign be put up before this weekend?

Dont know what happened to the sign, but we are not playing 13.

I love events serving food but when it is 100+ outside I prefer to find some AC during lunch. Especially when the Lunch break is almost 2 hours because if you eat there you still have a lot of time to kill.

I think you have to be signed up, paid, & checked in on Friday by 7:00 PM.

Miscellaneous:

1. Registration and Check-In are separate. We need to have everyone registered and paid by 7pm Friday.

If you have paid your entry fee, then all you have to do is Check In. Check in can be anytime Friday from 3-7pm, or on Saturday from 7:30 - 8:15 at tournament HQ.

We cannot take new registrations on Saturday, because we prepare all the hole assignments on Friday night. We want to get everyone out on the course as early as possible because of the heat.

2. Doubles is NOT at Universal City this year, it is at Live Oak. This is so that people can check in, and then play doubles all in one place.

4. Twisted Flyer online signups are closed. You can still register by PM'ing me your name, PDGA#, and division. That will hold your place until Friday at 7pm. As long as you are paid by then, you are in.

I would assume 1st in MPM would be slightly less than 2nd in MPO.

I doubt that LOSO will be as top heavy as Crowley payout wise. Play MPO, I want to play with the Donkey since that may be the only thing that could prepare me for the trials and tribulations of Worlds.

How about adding it in based on the percentage of entries? I mean each player is fine but in many cases age -protected players pay a little less to enter which would mean a higher percentage of their payout would be added cash.

Basically if MPO has $500 in entries and MPM or FPO has $250 in entries they should get 1/2 as much added cash even though they may have slightly more than 1/2 the players.

It will happen soon enough! Hopefully I will be able to run a few around H-town once I get out of school. Until then though I will probably only be helping out the Nac guys next year with the possibility that I will run a C-tier or two around Eastex.

Great event LODGA! I had a blast and met some cool new people.

Next year can we please please please please (I know be carefull what you wish for) please play 11A as origianlly designed, get rid of 11B & 11D, and play 11E as originally designed (as a Par 5 from back in the woods). If you added 13 back into the mix you'd only need to come up with one more hole to make this happen. 11B & 11D are too easy and not playing 11E is a disservice to a truly great hole and one of if not the hardest hole on the course.

Again I don't want this to sound negative, just one person's suggestions. I had a blast and this was my most fun tournament of the year so far. More tourneys at LO!

Great work on the water, they where always full and cold. Great work on the tee signs. Keep up the great work and I can't wait to play LOSO next year.

Thanks for a great tournament, James and LODGA. The coolers always had water and everything ran very smoothly.

Like I mentioned afterward and JC posted, 11B was a pretty weak hole. I understand the need for temp holes that follow the flow of the course but that hole really didn't add anything to the tournament. Otherwise, it was another great LOSO.
