A minimum of three participants is necessary to form a division. A competitor may only enter one division. Juniors age determined as of June 20, 2009. Masters age determined according to PDGA rules.<o></o>

Also... big opening ceremonies Friday June 19th @ the US Whitewater Center @ 7p. They are planning a parade of athletes, lighting of torch, band(s) and other festivities to kick off the games this year.

2009 OPENING CEREMONIES - FRIDAY, JUNE 19th


The 2009 Opening Ceremonies will be held Friday, June 19 at the U.S. National Whitewater Center in Charlotte. The Opening Ceremonies will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. There will be a Parade of Athletes, lots of entertainment and the official lighting of the cauldron. There will also be contests to win Carowinds tickets for your team. Coaches and athletes should arrive between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. for the Parade of Athletes. Coaches and athletes that participate in the Parade of Athletes will receive a commemorative State Games Sport Bag and a State Games Stadium Blanket. The U.S. National Whitewater Center is an Olympic Training Center with lots of fun activities including whitewater rafting, a 46 foot rock climbing wall, a 1,123 foot mega zipline and much more. Arrive early to participate in the numerous activities that will be available prior to the Opening Ceremonies.

Good turnout. We had 50+ in Al. Also went up against an "A" Tier. Got some good press in the Sunday paper. Every State that hosts the State Games should include disc golf.
