So I'm pretty jazzed to have registered for the Great Eastern Amateur Cup today. Right before it filled up. I don't see anyone from around here who's going, but has anyone played at Tyler State Park yet? I hear it's awesome. Any tips?
Thanks
Eric

I've never played TSP, but I've heard the course is awesome.

I'm not sure what the setup will be for the Great Eastern Am Cup, but when I used to play in it many years ago they would put nearly all the pin positions in the short position, which was a real shame. When the pin positions are in par four and par five locations, this course is one of the best in the country. Most of the course is set in a very lovely and pristine forest with only a few holes out in the open, and the course does play over some hefty elevation changes. There are cement tee pads on all tees and three pin positions on most of its 27 holes, as well as excellent course markage with tee signs and next tee signs pointing the way. There are elevated terraces on a few holes which are very aesthetically pleasing and challenging as well.

Picture holes#12 & 13 at Moraine State Park, and holes#5-6 and #13-14 at Deer Lakes. That is roughly what you can expect at Tyler.
