I will tell you that I am extremely disappointed that you are not playing Mr Gotcher. I was hoping to maybe play with you in round 3 again.

I moved 17 baskets yesterday and we are now in position for day 1. Note that hole 14 will move from A to B for round 2 and from B to C for round 3. Hole 6 will move from B to C for round 3. Hole 10 will move from B to C for round 3. All other holes will remain where they are for the entire weekend. We will play 1-18 from mixed tees round 1, 10-27 from mixed tees round 2 and 1-27 from mixed tees round 3.

The layout is:

* There is a new white tee on hole 4. It is AWESOME! It is up the hill to the right from where the previous natural white tee was. It is now a straight alley shot to the C pin.

** This is a new position that you just have to see. It is the C pin for legacy 13 for those that remember the original course. There will be a mando on this hole to keep people from throwing at 24's tees.

5 more days! Come on people! Get those registrations in!

We had our first three time (in a row) winner this weekend as Brian Schweberger eeked past John Gregory in the final 9. Congrats to Brian who gave credit to his pink toenails and the Cosmo's my wife was mixing for him.

Brian also issued a challenge to his fellow North Cackalackians with the quote of the weekend. When asked why more of them didn't travel a few hours north to play at Seneca he said "I tried to get them to come - but they're skeered".

What do you guys say?

Skeered? I thought NC had a bunch of real golfers in it :(

Actually I think it was the lessons I gave Schwebbie the week before in Augusta that helped prepare him for Seneca (lessons on how not to play smart DG!).

Why don't any of the MADC folks make it down to the HOFC in Augusta? I flew across the country for this event and loved every minute of it. The courses are killer and the IDGC is a real treat. Hope to see more of you MADCers at the next one in two years! Cheers, DD

There don't seem to be a lot of travelers out of our region right now DD. I was in Atlanta in March, Raleigh in April, and the HOF was a week before the ATier I was running - so that's my excuse. Planning on Pittsburgh and Vibram in August, with hopes of qualifying for Rock Hill along the way. Other than that, I seldom leave the region - playing courses blind doesnb't hold much appeal for me anymore - as I don't have the extra time to take and learn the courses before competing. Maybe if I win the lotto :)

Naved Hasnain, Erik Smith, and Tom Kim I know went down to Carolina Clash - but other than that, I haven't heard of many road tripping DG'ers from our area.
