I am quite sure that "worse than the old one" is going to dominate this vote because of human nature.
Human nature is to instantly despise something that is not familiar. As with all new things, there is an adjustment period where unfamiliarity trumps recognition of increased performance. However, when you change your default options to the enhanced Interface and see the wonderful new posting console, you may soon appreciate how much better the vBulletin message software is.

well I voted worse. I had to quote the previous post I could not figure out how to reply.
went to the worlds announcements and nothing displayed because nothing new had been posted in last 30 days. I go bad to old threads to check facts. I lost all my bookmarks(favarites) I think! I have not found them. I book marked them so I would not have to look for them. now I have to look for them again. Most of do not have to time to figure out a new message board. and most users my note have the computer skills needed to figure out the changes.
Just my thoughts

Much more powerful than the old one. Still could use improvment but it's much better.

when i signed on, i noticed my birthday is 2 months earlier than it should be and the time was off. i clicked on user cp and tried to correct this and received a "could not process because a security token was missing" message and was given a link to report this and i did. i received a response from gentry with the same message in the new DB thread. now if i click on user cp again i get the same message without having the option to make changes.
jeff, is this default option to enhanced interface located in the user cp tab?

I found you can get around that error by going to your Private Messages up in the right hand corner. This will bring up that personal menu.

Ditto on the incorrect birthdate thingy....I think I figured that one out by myself.
The issue I'm bummed out about are the Moraine Monthly scores I posted regularly on the Pittsburgh Flying Disc Society thread(s). This new discussion board format turned those nice and neat scorecard templates into nothing but computer code:

I just posted an image on the random paste thread and it prompted me for a text message of at least 10 characters. One cannot simply post an image alone.
I always thought a picture was worth a thousand words. :)

What was better about the old board?
The "index" option that was at both the top and bottom of each screen that took you up one level.
There's the "go" button at the bottom, and the tree at the top of the screen, but they take you back to the first page of that level. That stinks when you've read 3 pages of posts on the 2nd or was it the 3rd, or was I on the 4th page of posts in that category?
1 click to go back to the list of topics on the page that I clicked there from was really nice, and something I miss...
Oh, and at 1440 x 900, which is the native resolution on my laptop, 2/3 of the screen is the top material on every page I open...

The vbulletin software is eons better, problem is they didn't take the time to go through the admin control panel and set many, many configuration options to keep it as user-friendly. To be fair, the admin CP of vbulletin is gargantuan and unless you've spent considerable time in it, the word 'overwhelming' comes to mind.
I would gladly fix these issues in 1-2 days, but that would mean I'd have to be given admin status temporarily.

God I hate the new discussion board! All of my saved threads are gone. I can't find my saved PM's. Oh yeah, and there was no warning about the change so for a day or two I couldn't update anything to let people know info updates for the tourney I'm running this weekend. Good Job PDGA. Big thumbs up.
Oh wait, that's not a thumb.

I like this one alot better. Now I can look at a list of threads with new posts instead of scrolling through all the posts. Three pages of Tulsa stuff gets pretty boring.

For the record, I like the new DB. There are noticeable enhancements and once the bugs are worked out (many have been repaired quickly) I think our new DB will become more enjoyable than before. Resistance to change is human nature and there will always be a learning curve with something new and different.
Good job to everyone involved in the conversion. Now......when will I be able to change my screen name back to "gotcha"? ;):D
