I'll be heading through Tulsa on my way to Worlds this summer. Are there any courses in the area that are must plays? Keep in mind I've probably only got time to paly one course, maybe 2 if I camp near by. Also where is a good place to camp out near Tulsa.

If you only have time for one or two. BlackHawk is a must, then either Dovillio or Hunter. There isn't really any where to camp around Tulsa, unless a player gives you a back yard, which is highly likely. Just post when you are coming through and we'll take care of you. ;)

You could go out to the lodge in Pawhuska!!! And it's only about 50miles from Tulsa!! Great courses and you can camp, not to mention you get the hospitality of the Taylors!!! Thats where I would go if I was you!!!

Listen to the Kid, Jerry. If you can only play one course in Green Country, make it The Lodge at Taylor Ranch, home of the upcoming Green Country Open, a National Tour Event! Let me know when you're rolling through, I may join you.

The Lodge would be a great play, just depends on your time and that it is about 45 min out of Tulsa but still north and some what on the way to KC.

I'll likely be rolling through on July 24th or 25th. I wanted to hit the Lodge but wasn't sure if it was open to the public or just special events.

Open to public by fee, camping also by fee.
Owners Jim and Debbie Taylor.
Jim is on the message boards as the Lodge so you can look him up and PM him.

Thanks y'all! Looking forward to hitting up soem courses on the way through and I'll jump back on here prior to my trip so maybe I can hook up with a local to give a good tour of the courses.

Is blackhawk too hairy to play this time of year? I was in going to be down that way tomorrow and was thinking Hunter, or blackhawk maybe.

You can play Blackhawk but mosquitos and ticks are pretty bad but I would suggest Hunter. It's in really great shape right now.

Hunter's first 7 are as good as anything. McCleur, to me, has a better 18 hole experience.

The Lodge. Definitely. Good exercise too, it'll get you ready for Cliff Drive and Blue Valley.
