Sorry if this is a really dumb question, but I'm having the hardest time figuring this out. I'm a new member and have not played any competitions or tournaments before. I've gone through all the literature I've received and looked through the website thoroughly, but I could not find any information on signing up for tournaments. Could someone please help me out, as I would like to play the Capitol City Challenge in Lansing, MI this Saturday?

Perhaps it will make more sense if you understand that, for most tournaments, registration is handled by the local tournament director, not the PDGA. The only ones for which you register through the PDGA are the ones with the little black & blue icon (not sure what it is) appears. Otherwise, you'll need to click on the tournament and hopefully follow links to the local webpage and/or flyer; if that fails, contact the "contact" person listed.

Most of us aren't old enough to remember black ink bottles with blue fountain pens... :)

The website for that is www.mdgo.org. (http://www.mdgo.org.) It lists what is probably 98% of the tournaments in the state. There is always an email or phone number for the TD of a tournament. Get a hold of the TD to see what forms of registration they are using as everyone does not do it the same.

I thought that might be what the icon was, but then thought, nah, couldn't be, and if I refer to it as such, who'll know what I'm talking about, anyway?
