Dynamic Discs is very excited to host our first tournament in Oklahoma. We couldn't ask for a better location and it looks like the extended forecast is calling for temperatures in the upper 60's! Registration is open now and there is a discount for signing up in advance.
Jim Taylor and the crew have put a ton of work in to the course and ranch to get things ready for this event. Check the course out for the event to get ready for the NT!

I was worried about this when Rusco first told me he was going to run an event at the Lodge.
By this I mean the who do they think they are trying to invade out territory and take credit for our work type attitudes.
I told Rusco to be very careful with what he does. Try not step on any toes and keep all relationships with the Okies as good as we can. He made a trip to talk to Jim about the event. He has been in contact with Mr. Twisted about the event. As far as I can tell all 3 are on the same page. They want to do everything they can to bring people to the Lodge to play.
The way I look at it, is this A chance to give people, Okies, Kansas, Texans, and Arkies a reason to head to the Lodge and get a chance to play a competitive event before the NT. I also think that after previewing the courses, many players who are on the fence about playing will jump off the fence and get registered to play.
I hope that you can make the event Keldog. You will see first hand that DD will do everything they can to make this an awesome event, make everyone happy, and get peoples mouths watering for more action at the Lodge.

The registration list is posted. We will only be using one course since the other isn't finished so the field will be capped at 100 players. Get signed up online now to reserve your spot. The first five who register online will receive some free stuff Saturday morning. It is also cheaper to sign up online so get signed up now!
We will be out there Friday afternoon for doubles so if you want to come out and play we will have an amateur and a pro division. $20 per team and a flex start time from 1-5pm.
The Kansas crew of Mark Martin and Ron Klein-Mo have been working down there in Pawhuska quite a bit these last few weeks and will be down there again this week to help get the course ready for this event and the NT.

Food will be available on location at the Lodge Friday evening, Saturday morning and Saturday for lunch. I'm not sure the exact details but I know that the lunch on Saturday is supporting a friend of the Taylor family who recently got diagnosed with cancer.
Friday evening after dubs we will be camping out and playing beer friz next to the RV. For those of you who have not played beer friz you probably won't to come check it out and join in for a couple games.
Look forward to seeing everyone this weekend.

Jeremy,
I like the efficiency you have and have always appreciated the work you put into your tournys. Good work on 1st round scores. What a awesome facility, THE LODGE, huh. My hats off to JT, DT, and JT and wife, and the DD crew for making things happen in OK this weekend.
Peace,
PS sitting a home and not playing because you are hurt is not ok in my brain.

The LODGE is an awesome facility for sure! Yesterday we showed up and instantly caught the place on fire! Literally! One of Jim's small sheds caught on fire and the DD crew got to play firefighter for a while! The contents in the one shed were lost but the other shed was saved thanks to Jim with the tractor and the water spraying ability of the DD crew!
They are really getting things together here and I hope we can continue to promote this place so that The Lodge can get some return on their investment to making this a disc golf resort. Thanks to all 85 players who showed up to make this one happen!
The first round from the blue pads went pretty smooth and scores were up online very fast. For the second round we decided to have the intermediate, rec, and am women play from the white tee pads and the advanced/pro from the blue again. Scores will be up instantly after the round and players will be on their way home in plenty of time to still enjoy the night if they want to.

Hey Rusco and Company, nice job running an AWESOME event at The Lodge!!! It's so nice to see scores AND ratings posted before the second round even gets started!!! Thanks Dynamic Discs and to all who helped out and put time into working on this AMAZING course (Papa Taylor, HOI, Wagle, Nail...to name a few). Hard work is MUCH appreciated! Special thanks to those guys who were gracious enough to let me play the second round with them! And Chrispin...NICE trophy discs! As always, we all appreciate Carla's help with scores/cards at tourneys! Congrats to McCabe for the win and Wagle for a great second place finish! And nice Ace, Winz!
Liz, I missed ya girl!

Man this was a KILLER event! Big Jim moves up into the top 5 of all time greatest people the DD crew gets to meet on our adventures, and most of them are true adventures.
The cool people I meet at these events are worth more then the price of admission for sure.
The Lodge is looking good, and I can hardly wait to get back there for the NT. In another month this place is going to look even sweeter then it does now.
Congrats to EMac on another win. The dude is a serious stud! Some of the putts he makes just amaze me. When the man needs to put it in the bottom of the bucket, it is in for sure.
This is for Big Jim.
-When I got home and was giving kissed good night, I accidentally woke up my oldest little man. The first thing out of his mouth was "dad, what was you buddy doing on that backhoe?" Looks like I may be back to get the little man a ride on a tractor.
See you all at the Glass Blown Open!

I always love playing the Lodge, especially the blue tees. I was on a card consisting of all Lodge newbies (except me) during round one, and they all got a taste of the punishment the course serves up if you get off of the fairway, but they all seemed to love the variety of terrain and the challenges that the course offers.
Thanks for everything Jim and Deb! Showdown at the Lodge! 2009 OK State Championships! Green Country Open NT this year!!! "If you build it, they will come!"

Congratulations to Eric for a nice win at The Lodge. Kudos to Chris Wagle for a big 2nd place finish. Way to represent Chris. Great job to both of these guys. As usual, the wind was a factor so that much more credit to these guys for some good golf.
