I realize that this is not your typical tournament post, however I want to get the word out on this event as quick as possible. Although the plans have not been finalized, be aware that a charity fundraiser for cancer research will be taking place in Kinston at the Barnet Park Disc Golf Course.
As many of you know when you play disc golf, you become part of a family. A family of brothers and sisters that are there for you in good times and in bad. I am sure that many of you,in some way or another, have been touched by cancer. At this time, there are three of my brothers whose Moms are all battling cancer. Scotty Faison, Mike Norris, and Doc Gordon, each, are fighting beside their mothers as they face this horrible disease. I know there are probably others too, that are fighting battles that I am not aware of. In honor of these that are fighting cancer, I would like each of you to participate in any way possible in a one day fundraiser with all proceeds going to cancer research.
I realize that that the spring calendar is full and we will not be able to find a date that works for everyone, however, I know that you will still support these guys and their families. I hope to nail down a date in the very near future. Please use this thread to share ideas and stay current on this developing effort. I need your support and I thank you in advance for what you are going to do.

Please keep Scotty and the Faison family in your prayers. Scotty's mother passed away yesterday, March 9th.
