The updated World Rankings are posted here: http://www.pdga.com/WorldRankings
These will look very similar to the 2008 World Tour Rankings because they use almost the same ratings and set of major event results. The primary difference is the factor we use to boost the weighting for more recent events is included as usual in this February update. That more current weighting factor will not be part of the yearend rankings like the 2008 World Tour Rankings posted last month which looks at all results for one calendar year as having equal weight, just like points and money earnings.
That slight difference in weighting switched the positions of just a few players with the most notable being Nate Doss edging out David Feldberg for tops in the World as they head to the Memorial for their first big test of the year. Nate played slightly better (literally one putt) in the second half of 2008 than David to make the difference.
No events from 2009 are yet included in the rankings. The first World Rankings to include 2009 events will be posted near the end of March following the March 17th ratings update and will include the results of the Memorial.
