I talked to Moody and he said the course is looking good...No need to mow so he has been able to drag all the fairways and walkways...also without the rain, less stickers :o

I'm there! Moody's is always an unique setting for an event as the camping adds extra value.

Anyone know if there is any possibility Moody might open the course for practice this weekend (Sat. 14th or Sun. 15th)?

I have to work Friday the 20th and have never played there before.

Is it too early to ask for a player's list? Unless I am missing something and don't see it?

Will everyone be throwing from the same tees? or will AMs be throwing from shorts?

MA2 and MA3 will play shorter tees in the first 2 rounds and the final 9...everyone plays the same tees on the "backwards course"

Will the course be open all day Friday? I'm leaving town Friday evening so I'd like to come out early if I can.

Everyone should be prepared for the chance of no bathrooms....Moody is hoping the rain last weekend was enough to bring the water level back up for the pump to work...but we will not know until Friday afternoon

Ive never been to Moodys...so whats your advice for the items needed to be prepared. I know that sounds like a crazy question but I want to make sure ill be prepared for the worst.

If you are camping a tent and the goods that goes along with that but DG wise bring a big driver, overstable driver, few mids and putters. The course(s) are open for the most part with 7 or so holes that are fairly tight.

Should be getting there to setup around 3 or so. Anyway I have been waiting on this one.

Hwy 71 towards Bastrop to hwy 20, go right (hwy 20 will be before you get
into Bastrop)...take 20 to 535, go left, through the town of Rockne...stay
on 535 till Watterson Rd (NOT Watterson School Rd), go right on Watterson,
then left on Smith (turns into dirt road), then left on Mueth Cemetery.
Moody's will be right there on the right. There should be signs & stuff up.

course was in FANTASTIC shape. maybe the best i've ever seen it. big thanks to Dave and his family. and i was so glad to see Davehenge in effect, on an even better hole this time!
